Product Overview
Restore proper hydraulic performance in a compatible Pentair Challenger High Pressure pool or spa pump with the Pentair 355315 replacement impeller. This genuine Pentair component is designed for Challenger pumps rated at 1½ horsepower full-rated or 2 horsepower up-rated.
The impeller is the rotating component that draws water into the pump and directs it through the diffuser toward the discharge plumbing. Damage, wear, mineral buildup, or debris inside the impeller can reduce water flow, increase operating noise, and prevent the pump from priming or circulating water correctly.
Replacing the impeller may restore performance when the existing component is cracked, clogged, worn, or damaged. The motor, shaft seal, diffuser, housing, and other pump components are not included.

Compatibility
The 355315 impeller is intended for compatible Pentair Challenger High Pressure pump models using a 1½ HP full-rated motor or a 2 HP up-rated motor.
Motor horsepower alone does not guarantee compatibility. The motor service factor and total horsepower must match the pump’s hydraulic components. Installing an oversized impeller can overload the motor, while an undersized impeller may reduce flow and pressure.
Confirm the pump model, motor label, service factor, existing impeller number, diffuser, and diffuser spacer before ordering.
Installation Information
Disconnect power at the circuit breaker and confirm that the pump cannot start before beginning service. Close the appropriate valves and relieve all pressure from the circulation system.
Separate the motor assembly from the pump housing, remove the diffuser, and inspect the impeller for cracks, clogged passages, stripped threads, or heat damage. Hold the motor shaft according to the motor manufacturer’s instructions before removing or installing the impeller.
Replacing the mechanical shaft seal during impeller service is strongly recommended. The compatible Pentair seal is commonly listed as part 354545S. Never touch the polished sealing faces with bare fingers, and do not operate the pump dry.
Inspect the diffuser, diffuser O-ring, seal plate, housing O-ring, and impeller screw before reassembly. Prime the pump fully and check for leaks after restarting the system.
