Pool Supply Depot Warranty Support
At Pool Supply Depot, we are committed to helping our customers purchase quality pool equipment with confidence. We work with trusted pool industry manufacturers and offer support to help customers understand the warranty process for eligible products purchased through our store.
Because pool equipment warranties are issued and controlled by the product manufacturer, warranty coverage, terms, requirements, exclusions, and approval decisions may vary by brand, product type, installation method, and use.
Our team is here to help guide you through the process and provide documentation when needed.
Manufacturer Warranty Coverage
Most pool equipment sold by Pool Supply Depot is covered by a manufacturer’s limited warranty. Warranty coverage is provided directly by the manufacturer and may include repair, replacement, parts coverage, or other remedies as determined by the manufacturer.
Warranty terms may vary depending on the product and manufacturer, including but not limited to:
- Pumps
- Filters
- Heaters
- Heat pumps
- Salt chlorine generators
- Automation systems
- Pool cleaners
- Replacement parts
- Valves, plumbing components, and accessories
- Complete equipment sets
Customers are responsible for reviewing the manufacturer’s warranty terms before installation and use.
Warranty Requirements
To help protect warranty eligibility, customers should follow all manufacturer instructions, installation requirements, operating guidelines, and maintenance recommendations.
Some manufacturers may require:
- Professional installation by a licensed or qualified pool professional
- Proof of purchase
- Product model number and serial number
- Photos of the installed equipment
- Proper electrical, plumbing, gas, or bonding installation
- Product registration within a required time period
- Use of approved parts and accessories
- Compliance with local codes and manufacturer specifications
Failure to follow manufacturer requirements may result in warranty denial.
Proof of Purchase
Your Pool Supply Depot order confirmation, invoice, or receipt may be required when submitting a warranty claim.
Please keep a copy of your order documentation, including:
- Order number
- Product name
- Model number
- Serial number, if available
- Date of purchase
- Installation date
- Installer information, if applicable
If you need a copy of your invoice, please contact our team and we will do our best to assist.
Product Registration
Some manufacturers require customers to register their product after purchase to activate or extend warranty coverage.
We recommend registering your product directly with the manufacturer as soon as possible after installation. Product registration is typically completed on the manufacturer’s website and may require the product model number, serial number, purchase date, installation date, and installer information.
Pool Supply Depot is not responsible for missed registration deadlines or reduced warranty coverage due to failure to register a product.
Warranty Claims
If you believe your product may qualify for warranty coverage, please contact the manufacturer directly or reach out to Pool Supply Depot for guidance.
To help us assist you, please provide:
- Your Pool Supply Depot order number
- Full name and contact information
- Product brand and model number
- Serial number, if available
- Date of installation
- Description of the issue
- Photos or videos of the product and installation
- Any error codes or diagnostic messages
- Installer information, if applicable
Once we receive the information, we can help direct you to the appropriate manufacturer warranty process.
Manufacturer Approval Required
All warranty claims are subject to manufacturer review and approval.
Pool Supply Depot does not determine whether a product qualifies for warranty coverage. Warranty decisions, claim approvals, repair options, replacement decisions, inspection requirements, and claim timelines are handled by the manufacturer.
A submitted warranty request does not guarantee approval, replacement, refund, or credit.
Items Not Typically Covered
Manufacturer warranties commonly exclude certain issues. These exclusions vary by brand and product, but may include:
- Improper installation
- Incorrect wiring, bonding, plumbing, gas connection, or ventilation
- Damage from misuse, neglect, abuse, or improper operation
- Freeze damage
- Chemical damage or improper water chemistry
- Damage caused by poor water flow or inadequate filtration
- Damage from power surges, lightning, or electrical issues
- Damage during installation
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect product function
- Normal wear and tear
- Labor costs, unless specifically covered by the manufacturer
- Shipping costs, unless approved by the manufacturer
- Products installed or used outside manufacturer specifications
Customers should review the specific warranty document for their product for complete terms and exclusions.
Installation and Labor
Unless specifically stated by the manufacturer, warranties generally cover eligible products or parts only and may not include labor, service calls, installation, removal, diagnosis, freight, or reinstallation costs.
Pool Supply Depot is an equipment supplier and does not guarantee reimbursement for labor or service expenses related to warranty claims.
If your product requires inspection, repair, or replacement, the manufacturer may require you to work with an authorized service provider.
Shipping Damage vs. Warranty Claims
Shipping damage and warranty claims are handled differently.
If your product arrives damaged, missing parts, or shows signs of freight damage, please contact Pool Supply Depot as soon as possible and provide photos of the packaging and product.
Please do not install a product that appears damaged during shipping. Installing a damaged item may affect the ability to file a shipping damage claim.
Warranty claims generally apply to product defects or eligible failures after purchase or installation, while shipping damage claims apply to damage that occurred during transit.
Returns and Warranty Are Different
A return request is not the same as a warranty claim.
Returns are subject to Pool Supply Depot’s return policy. Warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty policy.
Products that have been installed, used, opened, modified, damaged, or special ordered may not qualify for return, but they may still be eligible for manufacturer warranty review depending on the issue and manufacturer terms.
Replacement Parts and Special Order Items
Replacement parts, electrical components, automation parts, circuit boards, sensors, special order items, and certain manufacturer-direct items may have limited return eligibility and may be subject to manufacturer warranty review only.
Warranty coverage for replacement parts varies by manufacturer and product type.
Water Chemistry and Equipment Care
Proper pool water chemistry is important for protecting pool equipment and maintaining warranty eligibility.
Damage caused by improper water balance, chemical misuse, corrosion, scaling, low flow, poor maintenance, or operating equipment outside manufacturer guidelines may not be covered by warranty.
Customers are responsible for maintaining their pool and equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
