Product Overview
The Hayward OmniPL Retrofit Kit HLXPROUPG upgrades compatible older Hayward automation systems to the modern OmniPL smart-control platform without requiring replacement of the complete electrical enclosure, relays, transformer, or existing equipment wiring.
Designed for compatible ProLogic®, AquaPlus®, AquaLogic®, and E-Command® systems, this retrofit kit replaces the original main control board and user interface with updated OmniPL components. Once installed and connected to the property’s network, pool owners can control compatible pumps, heaters, lights, valves, water features, schedules, and salt chlorination equipment from the local touchscreen or supported mobile devices.
Hayward states that many compatible systems can be converted in approximately one hour, depending on the existing panel, wiring condition, accessories, and equipment configuration. This makes the retrofit kit a practical way to add modern automation features while preserving much of the existing equipment-pad infrastructure.

Benefits
The HLXPROUPG modernizes an older Hayward control system without requiring a complete automation-panel replacement. Reusing the existing enclosure, high-voltage relays, transformer, and field wiring can reduce installation time, equipment cost, and disruption at the pool equipment pad.
The OmniPL touchscreen provides a more intuitive interface for managing daily pool operation. Once network connectivity is established, compatible smartphones, tablets, and computers can also be used for remote access.
OmniDirect Mode provides additional lighting capabilities with supported Hayward ColorLogic LED lights, including access to expanded colors, dimming, and adjustable light-show speed. The system can also coordinate compatible variable-speed pumps, helping equipment operate at the appropriate programmed speed for filtration, heating, cleaning, or water-feature operation.

Compatibility Information
Compatibility depends on the existing control-panel model, relay configuration, connected accessories, chlorination equipment, and wiring condition. Older ProLogic or AquaLogic wireless, desktop, wall-mount, and spa-side remotes may not operate with the upgraded OmniPL system.
Current OmniLogic-compatible remotes may be available separately when additional control locations are required. Always verify the exact model number inside the existing Hayward panel before ordering.
Installation Information
Disconnect all electrical power before opening the automation enclosure. Installation generally requires removing the original control board, installing the OmniPL board and wiring harnesses, mounting the external touchscreen, reconnecting existing equipment, and completing the OmniPL configuration wizard.
Network setup is required for mobile and web-enabled control. Installation should be completed by a qualified pool professional or licensed electrician familiar with high-voltage pool automation systems.
