Product Overview

The O-497 Tank O-Ring is a replacement filter tank seal designed for compatible Pentair Clean & Clear Plus and FNS Plus filter systems. This large tank O-ring helps create a secure seal between the upper and lower filter tank halves, helping prevent leaks during normal pool filtration operation.

This O-ring is commonly cross-referenced with Pentair part number 39010200 and is used on several compatible Pentair cartridge and D.E. filter models. It is a practical replacement part when the original tank O-ring becomes stretched, flattened, cracked, dry, leaking, or damaged during filter service.

Ideal For

This tank O-ring is ideal for pool service technicians, repair professionals, and pool owners maintaining compatible Pentair Clean & Clear Plus, FNS Plus, Quad DE, RPM, and related filter systems. It is especially useful during filter cleaning, filter tank reassembly, clamp service, or leak repair.

Key Features

Replacement Tank Seal

Designed to seal the filter tank body on compatible Pentair filters. A properly fitted tank O-ring helps prevent water leaks between the filter tank halves.

Compatible with Clean & Clear Plus and FNS Plus

Commonly listed for Pentair Clean & Clear Plus cartridge filters and FNS Plus D.E. filters. Additional compatibility may include Quad DE, RPM, Titan, SM, SMBW, and 5000 Series filter applications depending on the model.

Cross-Referenced with Pentair 39010200

O-497 is commonly used as an aftermarket cross-reference for Pentair 39010200. This helps customers match the replacement O-ring to the original Pentair tank seal.

Large 1/2" Tank O-Ring

Supplier listings commonly describe this O-ring as approximately 20-7/8" inside diameter with a 1/2" cross-section. Always compare dimensions and filter model before ordering.

Helps Prevent Filter Leaks

A worn or flattened tank O-ring can allow water to escape from the filter clamp area. Replacing the O-ring can help restore a reliable seal after filter cleaning or service.

Service-Friendly Replacement Part

This is a common maintenance item for filters that are opened periodically for cartridge cleaning or D.E. grid service. Inspecting and replacing the O-ring when needed can help avoid leaks after reassembly.

Benefits

The O-497 Tank O-Ring helps maintain a secure, leak-resistant seal on compatible Pentair filter tanks. Replacing a worn or damaged O-ring can help stop clamp-area leaks, improve filter reliability, and support safer filter operation after maintenance.

This is a simple but important filter service part that should be inspected whenever the filter tank is opened. For best results, clean the sealing surface, inspect the clamp assembly, and use a pool-safe O-ring lubricant during installation.
