Important Purchase Notice

This Hayward Expert Line product is designated for purchase through pool professionals or in-store. Contact Pool Supply Depot to confirm purchasing options and warranty eligibility before ordering.

Ideal For

Commercial pool operators, hospitality facilities, community pools, and contractors replacing equipment on systems requiring a correctly sized, single-phase pump.

Key Features

• Totally enclosed fan-cooled motor supports dependable commercial operation.
• Chemical-resistant Viton seal supports durability in treated pool water.
• Oversized removable basket and transparent cover simplify debris inspections. The lid seals with less than a quarter turn.
• Detachable strainer housing allows remote mounting where professionally configured.
• NSF/ANSI 50 certification supports commercial equipment specification; final system approval depends on the installation and local requirements.

Benefits

Check debris accumulation without opening the lid, simplify basket access, and accommodate different equipment-room layouts. Union connections also make future pump removal more convenient.

Compatibility

Verify 208–230V, single-phase, 60 Hz electrical service. Match the pump curve to required flow and total dynamic head, along with filter capacity, suction-system ratings, and plumbing. Horsepower alone does not establish compatibility. This is not the three-phase version.

Do not assume matching union sizes guarantee identical plumbing alignment. Have your installer compare the existing pump footprint and suction and discharge locations before planning a replacement.

Installation

Professional installation is required. Your installer must verify wiring, grounding, bonding, protective devices, mounting, ventilation, and hydraulic suitability. Confirm nameplate electrical requirements rather than assuming existing wiring or circuit protection can be reused.

Provide a stable, level mounting surface with drainage, cooling airflow, and enough clearance to remove the basket and service the motor.

What’s Included

Includes the complete pump with motor, strainer housing, basket, cover, and 2½-inch × 3-inch union connections. Additional installation plumbing, electrical materials, and external controls are not included.

Can it replace any 5 HP commercial pump?

Does self-priming mean it can run dry?
No. Follow Hayward’s priming instructions; operating without water can damage the pump and seal.

What warranty applies?
Eligible commercial purchases receive three-year parts and field-labor coverage under Hayward’s 2026 terms. Purchase-channel requirements and exclusions apply; seals and O-rings are covered for
