Product Overview

Maintain reliable saltwater chlorination with the Hayward TurboCell® Salt Chlorination Cell | GLX-CELL-15-W, a genuine Hayward replacement cell designed for residential swimming pools up to 40,000 gallons. The TurboCell converts dissolved pool salt into chlorine automatically as water circulates through the filtration system, helping maintain clean, comfortable pool water while reducing the need to manually handle traditional chlorine products.

The GLX-CELL-15-W is the replacement version of Hayward's T-CELL-15 size and includes an attached 15-foot power cord for connection to a compatible Hayward salt chlorination or automation system. It is designed for use with compatible AquaRite®, AquaRite Pro®, AquaPlus®, ProLogic®, AquaLogic®, SwimPure Plus®, OmniLogic®, and other supported Hayward controls.

Because the GLX-CELL-15-W is a genuine Hayward TurboCell, it communicates correctly with compatible Hayward control systems to support chlorine generation and salt-level monitoring.

Important Controller Configuration

When replacing an existing T-CELL-15 or GLX-CELL-15, controller reconfiguration may not be required.

However, when installing this cell on certain Hayward controllers, the control system must be programmed for T-CELL-15.

Incorrect cell configuration can cause:

• Incorrect salt readings
• Improper chlorine production
• System warnings
• Chlorinator shutdown

Always confirm that the control panel displays T-15 or T-CELL-15 where applicable.

Salt Chlorination Made Simple

A Hayward TurboCell uses electrolysis to convert salt already dissolved in the pool water into chlorine. The chlorine sanitizes the pool and then eventually converts back into salt, allowing the process to repeat continuously while the circulation and chlorination systems operate.

This automated process can provide more consistent chlorine delivery while reducing the need to routinely transport, store, and manually dose conventional chlorine.

Replacement Installation

The GLX-CELL-15-W is designed as a replacement for compatible existing Hayward TurboCell installations. If the existing plumbing unions and O-rings remain in good condition, the cell can typically be installed into the existing plumbing configuration.

Replacement union kits are sold separately when required.

Always turn off electrical power and the circulation pump before removing or servicing a salt cell.
