Product Overview

Restore reliable heating performance to your pool or spa heater with the Hayward FDXLHXA1250 Heat Exchanger Assembly. This genuine Hayward replacement part is designed for the Hayward H250FD Universal H-Series Low NOx pool and spa heater, helping transfer heat efficiently from the combustion system to the water.

The heat exchanger is one of the most important components inside a gas pool heater. When it becomes damaged, leaking, scaled, or inefficient, heater performance can drop and the system may fail to heat properly. Replacing the heat exchanger with the correct Hayward assembly helps restore proper operation, heating efficiency, and dependable temperature performance.

Installation & Care Tips

This heat exchanger assembly should be installed by a qualified pool heater technician or gas appliance professional. Before service, turn off power and gas to the heater, allow the unit to cool completely, and shut off water flow according to the heater manufacturer’s instructions.

After installation, the heater should be inspected for proper water flow, leaks, combustion operation, and temperature rise. Maintaining proper pool water chemistry can help reduce scaling and corrosion, which are common causes of heat exchanger damage.
