Product Overview

The Hayward IDXVAL1931 H-Series Heater Gas Valve Kit is a genuine Hayward replacement part designed for select Hayward H-Series above-ground induced draft pool and spa heaters. This gas valve helps control fuel flow to the heater burner system, supporting proper ignition, combustion, and safe heater operation.

This replacement kit is commonly used when the original gas valve is damaged, leaking, not opening properly, or has been diagnosed as the cause of heater ignition or burner operation issues. Because this part controls gas flow, it should be installed only by a qualified pool heater technician or licensed gas professional.

Ideal For

This gas valve kit is ideal for pool service technicians, heater repair professionals, and qualified installers servicing compatible Hayward H-Series above-ground heaters. It is commonly used during gas system repairs, ignition troubleshooting, and heater restoration when the gas valve has been confirmed as faulty.

Key Features

Genuine Hayward Replacement Part

Designed as a factory replacement gas valve kit for compatible Hayward H-Series above-ground induced draft heaters. Using the correct Hayward replacement part helps ensure proper fit, safe operation, and reliable performance.

Controls Heater Gas Flow

The gas valve regulates fuel delivery to the burner system. Proper gas valve function is essential for ignition, burner operation, flame stability, and heater safety.

Fits Select H-Series Above-Ground Heater Models

This part is commonly listed for Hayward H100ID1 and H100IDP1 H-Series above-ground induced draft heaters. Some supplier listings also reference compatibility with ABG1001 heater models, so the heater model should always be verified before ordering.

Works with Natural Gas and Propane Applications

Supplier listings commonly describe IDXVAL1931 as compatible with both natural gas and propane H-Series heater applications. Always confirm the exact heater model and gas type before installation.

Important Safety Component

A faulty gas valve can cause ignition failure, burner issues, heater lockouts, or unsafe gas-flow conditions. Replacement should be performed only after proper diagnosis and followed by leak testing, gas pressure checks, and operational verification.

Benefits

The Hayward IDXVAL1931 Gas Valve Kit helps restore proper gas control for compatible H-Series heaters, supporting safe ignition and dependable heating performance. Replacing a failed valve can help resolve gas delivery or burner operation problems when the gas valve is confirmed to be the issue.

This part provides a targeted repair option that allows service of the heater gas system without replacing the complete heater. Professional installation is required because gas connections, electrical wiring, combustion operation, and safety checks must be handled correctly.
