Product Overview

The Hayward TriStar® VS W3SP3206VSP is a high-performance 2.7 HP variable-speed pool pump designed for medium to large residential in-ground pools. Engineered for strong, efficient circulation, this pump helps support filtration, heating, sanitization, cleaning systems, water features, and everyday pool water movement.

With dual-voltage 115/230 V capability, variable-speed operation, and a permanent magnet totally enclosed fan-cooled motor, the TriStar VS provides powerful flow while helping reduce energy use compared with traditional single-speed pumps.

High-Performance Variable-Speed Circulation

The TriStar VS is designed to match pump output to the pool’s actual circulation needs. Instead of running at full power all day, the pump can operate at lower speeds for routine filtration and higher speeds when stronger flow is needed.

This makes it an excellent choice for pool owners who want improved energy efficiency, quieter daily operation, and flexible performance for different pool system demands.

Built for Medium to Large In-Ground Pools

The Hayward TriStar VS W3SP3206VSP is built for residential in-ground pool systems that require higher flow performance. It is well suited for pools with heaters, sanitizers, water features, in-floor cleaning systems, solar heating, attached spas, and other demanding circulation requirements.

Its high-performance hydraulic design and 2.7 THP rating make it a strong replacement option for many existing high-horsepower pool pumps.

Product Benefits

Maximum Energy Efficiency

Variable-speed operation allows the pump to run at lower speeds during routine filtration, helping reduce energy consumption compared with traditional single-speed pump operation.

Powerful Flow for Larger Systems

With a 2.7 THP rating, the TriStar VS is well suited for medium to large pool systems, pool/spa combinations, and installations with demanding flow requirements.

Quiet Daily Filtration

Lower-speed operation helps reduce pump noise during normal filtration cycles, creating a quieter equipment pad and a more enjoyable backyard environment.

Flexible Control Options

The programmable touchpad interface allows users to adjust speed and runtime settings. The control interface can be rotated or wall-mounted for easier visibility and access depending on the installation.

Easier Maintenance

The extra-large debris basket helps capture leaves and debris while extending the time between basket cleanings.
