Installation Information
Replacement of a heater tube bundle requires substantial disassembly of the heat exchanger and should be performed by a qualified pool heater technician. Water, gas, and electrical power must be properly shut off before servicing the heater.
When replacing a failed tube bundle, the cause of the original failure should also be identified and corrected before returning the heater to service.
Confirm Before Ordering
This part is specifically for compatible ASME metal/bronze-header configurations manufactured from December 2019 forward. It should not be selected solely based on heater size.
Confirm the complete heater model number, serial number, manufacturing date, ASME configuration, header type, and copper heat exchanger designation before purchase. Copper and cupronickel tube bundles are different replacement parts and should not be interchanged.
Raypak also recommends replacing the Unitherm Governor and inspecting the bypass assembly when a tube bundle has failed, since hydraulic conditions or improper water chemistry that damaged the original bundle may have affected these components as well.
Warranty Information
Warranty coverage is subject to Raypak’s applicable replacement-part and equipment warranty terms. Damage caused by improper installation, incorrect water chemistry, scale, corrosion, or improper operating conditions may not qualify for warranty coverage.
