Product Overview

The Intermatic PX100 Pool & Spa Safety Transformer is designed to safely supply low-voltage power to compatible pool lights, spa lights, submersible fixtures, fountain lights, and outdoor garden lighting. This 100-watt transformer converts 120 VAC input power to low-voltage 12–14 VAC output, helping support safer operation for underwater lighting applications.

Built in a durable beige steel enclosure, the PX100 includes a grounded shield between the primary and secondary windings and built-in circuit protection that temporarily disconnects power in the event of an overload or fault. It is a dependable transformer option for pool and spa lighting installations where a 100W low-voltage transformer is required.

Ideal For

This transformer is ideal for pool professionals, electricians, builders, and pool owners who need a reliable 100W safety transformer for compatible 12V pool, spa, fountain, or landscape lighting. It is commonly used for low-voltage underwater pool and spa light applications that require a dedicated safety transformer.

Key Features

100-Watt Safety Transformer

Rated for 100 watts, the PX100 is designed to supply low-voltage power to compatible pool and spa lighting systems. It is suitable for applications where the total connected lighting load does not exceed the transformer’s rated capacity.

120V Input with 12–14V Output

The transformer accepts 120 VAC input power and provides low-voltage 12, 13, or 14 VAC output options. These output taps help support voltage adjustment for compatible low-voltage lighting installations.

Designed for Pool & Spa Lighting

Specifically made for pool lights, spa lights, submersible fixtures, fountain lighting, and outdoor garden lights. It is suitable for direct connection to compatible underwater pool and spa lights when installed according to electrical code and manufacturer instructions.

Built-In Circuit Protection

Integrated circuit protection helps disconnect power temporarily in the event of a defect or overload. This added protection supports safer operation and helps protect connected lighting equipment.

Grounded Shield for Safer Operation

A grounded shield between the primary and secondary windings helps provide added safety for underwater lighting applications. This design supports compliance-focused installations for pool and spa lighting.

Beige Steel Outdoor Enclosure

The PX100 is housed in a beige steel Type 3R / NEMA 3R enclosure suitable for indoor or outdoor installations. The enclosure includes multiple knockouts for flexible wiring access during installation.

Benefits

The Intermatic PX100 helps provide safe, dependable low-voltage power for pool and spa lighting systems while reducing the need for larger transformer capacity when only a 100W load is required. Its compact enclosure, built-in protection, and pool-rated design make it a practical choice for replacement installations, new lighting setups, and equipment pad upgrades.

Professional installation is recommended because this product involves line-voltage electrical wiring and underwater lighting applications. Always confirm the total connected wattage and voltage requirements before installation.
