Product Overview

The Jandy CL Series Cartridge Filter | CL340 is a high-capacity cartridge filter designed for large residential pool systems that need strong flow performance, excellent water clarity, and simple maintenance. With 340 square feet of filtration area and a 127 GPM maximum flow rate, this filter is built to handle demanding circulation systems while helping extend the time between cleanings.

The CL340 uses four large cartridge elements to capture dirt, debris, oils, and fine particles without the need for backwashing. This helps conserve water, reduce chemical loss, and make routine pool maintenance easier compared with sand or DE systems.

Jandy’s CL cartridge filters are constructed with corrosion-resistant polymeric materials and designed for high-flow hydraulic performance. The CL340 includes 2" x 2.5" universal unions and is commonly listed with a 50 PSI maximum working pressure, 28" tank diameter, and 41" product height.

Benefits

The Jandy CL340 helps pool owners maintain clean, clear water while reducing routine maintenance. Its large 340 sq ft cartridge area provides more surface area to trap debris, which can help extend time between cleanings compared with smaller cartridge filters.

Because this is a cartridge filter, there is no need to backwash. That means less water waste, fewer chemicals lost during cleaning, and a simpler maintenance routine. When cleaning is needed, the cartridges can be removed, rinsed, inspected, and reinstalled.

For pool professionals, the CL340 provides a durable, high-flow filtration platform with Jandy’s service-friendly design, universal unions, and corrosion-resistant tank construction.

Installation Notes

This filter should be installed by a qualified pool professional. Proper installation requires correct plumbing alignment, union installation, pressure testing, flow verification, equipment pad support, and safe startup.

Before installation, confirm that the connected pump does not exceed the filter’s 127 GPM maximum flow rate or 50 PSI maximum working pressure. Install the filter on a level, stable surface with enough clearance above and around the tank for cartridge removal and service.

Always turn off the pump and relieve all system pressure before opening the filter. Never open or loosen the filter while it is pressurized.
