Part number 602142 is a full-size underwater fixture designed to deliver powerful, evenly distributed white illumination while using substantially less electricity than a traditional incandescent pool light.

This fixture produces light comparable to a 500-watt incandescent pool light while consuming only 31 watts. Pentair’s Architectural Series uses refined optics and a high-performance lens to spread light broadly throughout the pool. The improved design helps minimize concentrated hot spots, distracting glare, visible stripes, and poorly illuminated areas.

This model operates on a low-voltage 12V AC lighting circuit and includes a factory-installed 150-foot cord. A properly rated pool and spa safety transformer is required and sold separately.

White-Light Performance

The light may be controlled using a properly installed pool-light switch, automation relay, or compatible Pentair automation system. A color-light controller is not required.

Installation Information

The 602142 requires a compatible full-size underwater wet niche. Before ordering, verify the existing niche manufacturer, model, dimensions, mounting screw location, bonding arrangement, and conduit configuration.

This fixture must be connected to a properly sized pool and spa safety transformer. Never connect a 12V light directly to a 120V electrical circuit.

Installation should be completed by a qualified pool professional or licensed electrician. Proper GFCI protection, grounding, bonding, transformer sizing, junction-box placement, and code-compliant cord routing are required.

Do not cut, shorten, replace, or splice the factory-installed underwater cord. Confirm that the 150-foot cord is sufficient for the complete uninterrupted route between the wet niche and the approved termination point.
