Product Overview

Enhance your pool or spa with brilliant color-changing illumination using the Jandy WaterColors HydroCool RGBW LED Nicheless Light. Model JLU4C12W100P is a compact P-Series underwater fixture designed to install directly into a compatible standard 1½-inch return fitting, eliminating the need for a traditional full-size wet niche.

The light uses Jandy’s HydroCool technology, which transfers heat away from the LEDs and into the surrounding pool water. Its aluminum body and thermally conductive overmolded construction help the fixture operate cooler, supporting dependable performance and extended service life.

RGBW technology combines red, green, blue, and dedicated white LEDs to create vivid colors, clean white illumination, and smooth color-changing effects. The compact 12-watt fixture measures approximately 5½ inches long, making it suitable for narrow pool walls, steps, benches, sun shelves, spas, and other areas where a full-size light may not fit.

Lighting and Control

The P-Series configuration is designed to produce Jandy WaterColors lighting programs and can be operated using a compatible switch, lighting controller, or automation system. Jandy states that HydroCool color models can be used with major automation systems, although available colors, programs, and synchronization behavior depend on the selected control equipment.

Multiple compatible lights may be synchronized when properly wired and configured. Confirm the automation model, transformer capacity, available relays, and lighting-system compatibility before installation.

Installation Information

This fixture requires a compatible 1½-inch wall fitting and an approved low-voltage pool-light transformer. It must never be connected directly to a 120V power source.

Installation should be completed by a qualified pool professional or licensed electrician. Proper GFCI protection, grounding, bonding, conduit installation, transformer sizing, cord routing, and local electrical-code compliance are required.

Do not cut or splice the factory-installed underwater cord. Confirm that the 100-foot cord is sufficient for the complete uninterrupted run before ordering. The fixture must remain submerged during operation because surrounding water supports the HydroCool thermal-management design.
