The Pentair WhisperFlo high performance pool pump provides single-speed circulation for pool and spa systems with compatible three-phase electrical service. This 1.5 HP Super-Duty model combines a totally enclosed fan-cooled motor, corrosion-resistant thermoplastic housing and Pentair’s FunnelFlo hydraulic design.

An oversized strainer basket, clear inspection lid and 2-inch threaded connections support routine operation and maintenance. This is a complete pump assembly—not a replacement motor or a variable-speed pump.

Installation Guidance

Installation must be completed by qualified professionals. Pentair specifies external overload protection for three-phase motors. Is this a variable-speed pump?

No. This is a single-speed WhisperFlo model and does not include an onboard variable-speed controller.

Why does a 1.5 HP pump have a 2.21 THP rating?

Pentair lists a 1.47 service factor and 2.21 total horsepower. Use total horsepower together with performance curves when comparing replacement pumps—not nominal horsepower alone.

Can a homeowner install this pump?
