PL4 and PSL4 Compatibility
The EasyTouch PL4 is designed primarily for a single body of water, while the PSL4 is configured for a shared pool-and-spa installation. This indoor panel works with either compatible system.
The “4” designation refers to four primary equipment circuits, generally consisting of the filter-pump circuit and three auxiliary circuits. The panel does not convert a PL4/PSL4 system into a larger EasyTouch 8 system.
Installation Information
Install the panel indoors or in another dry, protected location. A low-voltage communication cable must be routed between the indoor panel and the communication terminals inside the EasyTouch power center.
Disconnect power to the automation system before making connections. Route communication wiring separately from line-voltage conductors as required by Pentair instructions and applicable electrical codes.
Installation and initial programming should be completed by a qualified pool-automation technician or electrician.
