Product Overview

Extend the connection between compatible Pentair IntelliChlor equipment and an EasyTouch automation system with the Pentair 520734 Extension Power Cord. This genuine Pentair OEM cable provides an additional 15 feet of reach when the original salt-cell cable cannot comfortably reach the control-system connection.

The extension is particularly useful when the salt chlorine generator is installed farther from the EasyTouch load center than originally planned. It can also help prevent excessive tension on the factory cable, reduce stress at the connector, and support cleaner routing around the pool equipment pad.

Pentair designs this extension for compatible EasyTouch PS4 and PSL4 control systems. It uses the matching IntelliChlor-style electrical connectors, allowing installation without cutting or splicing the factory salt-cell cable.

This listing includes the extension cord only. The IntelliChlor salt cell, power center, EasyTouch automation system, transformer, unions, and plumbing components are sold separately.

Specifications

Compatibility

The 520734 is specifically listed for compatible IntelliChlor installations using Pentair EasyTouch PS4 or PSL4 control systems. Compatibility with other EasyTouch, IntelliTouch, IntelliCenter, stand-alone power-center, iChlor, IntelliChlor Plus, or IntelliChlor LT configurations should be confirmed before ordering.

Pentair’s newer IntelliChlor Plus and LT models use the same general power-center connector architecture as earlier IntelliChlor systems, but compatibility should still be verified for the exact equipment combination and installation revision.

Do not select this cable based only on cord length or connector appearance.

Installation Information

Disconnect electrical power to the automation system and salt chlorine generator before installing or removing the extension cord. Never connect or disconnect the cable while the system is energized.

Inspect both connectors for moisture, corrosion, bent contacts, damaged seals, or debris. Join the factory connectors completely and secure them according to Pentair instructions. Route the cord away from sharp edges, standing water, hot heater surfaces, chemical containers, and areas where it may be stepped on or damaged.

Do not cut, modify, or splice the cable. The extension should not be used to repair a salt-cell cord with damaged conductors or a deteriorated connector.

Professional installation by a qualified pool technician is recommended.
