Product Overview
Restore a dependable watertight connection between the water header and heat exchanger of a compatible Raypak pool or spa heater with the Raypak 006713F O-Ring Gasket Set. This genuine Raypak replacement package contains two molded seals used at the front and rear polymer-header connections.
These O-rings seal the connection where the heater’s polymer headers meet the tube bundle. Repeated heating cycles, chemical exposure, compression, scale accumulation, freezing, and normal aging can cause the original seals to flatten, harden, crack, or lose elasticity. Once the seal deteriorates, water may begin leaking around the header connection or inside the heater cabinet.
Replacing both O-rings during header or tube-bundle service helps create consistent sealing at both ends of the heat exchanger. Because these gaskets become compressed during installation, previously installed seals should not normally be reused after the header has been removed.

Compatibility
The 006713F O-rings are used on compatible Raypak heaters equipped with polymer water headers. Common applications include select Digital, Millivolt, and Low NOx residential heater models within the 206A through 406A and 207A through 407A families.
Compatibility varies by complete heater model, production date, header construction, and heat-exchanger configuration. Some supplier listings identify specific use with 206A, 266A, and 336A Low NOx heaters, while broader parts references list additional polymer-header applications. Confirm the heater data label and applicable Raypak parts diagram before ordering.
These seals should not be confused with the flat individual tube gaskets used on metal-header or ASME heat exchangers.
Installation Information
Turn off electrical power and gas, stop the circulation pump, allow the heater to cool, and relieve all water pressure before service. Drain the heat exchanger before removing either header.
Remove the old O-rings and clean the sealing grooves and mating surfaces. Inspect the polymer headers for cracks, warping, erosion, or freeze damage. Also examine the tube bundle and bypass components for corrosion, scale, or deterioration.
Apply only a light coating of lubricant approved for pool-equipment O-rings when permitted by Raypak’s service instructions. Position each gasket evenly without twisting or stretching it. Reinstall the headers and tighten the hardware gradually and evenly.
After assembly, circulate water through the heater and inspect both header connections for leaks before operating the burner. Overtightening can damage the polymer header or deform the seals.
Package Contents
