Product Overview

The Raypak P-R336A-MP-C #57 Propane Gas Pool and Spa Heater | 009202 is a high-capacity residential heater designed to provide dependable heating for swimming pools and attached spas.

This model delivers 332,500 BTU of propane gas input and features Raypak’s Millivolt Plus control system. The standing pilot generates the small amount of electrical power needed to operate the heater, allowing operation without a conventional 120V or 240V electrical connection.

A copper fin-tube heat exchanger provides efficient heat transfer, while corrosion-resistant polymer headers, an automatic bypass, and Raypak’s ProTek Shield™ help support dependable long-term operation.

Specifications

Compatibility Information

This heater is designed for residential pool and spa systems using propane gas.

Because it uses millivolt controls, it is generally not the preferred choice for installations requiring modern digital pool automation, remote temperature control, or long-distance control wiring.

Before ordering, verify:

• Propane fuel availability
• Gas meter or tank capacity
• Gas-line size and pressure
• Pool and spa volume
• Plumbing connection size
• Water-flow requirements
• Installation elevation
• Equipment-pad clearances
• Local gas and building codes

What’s Included

• Raypak 009202 propane pool and spa heater
• Copper fin-tube heat exchanger
• Polymer header assembly
• Millivolt Plus control system
• Standing-pilot ignition assembly
• ProTek Shield protection module
• Factory-installed internal bypass components
• Manufacturer installation documentation

Not Included: Propane tank, gas regulator, gas piping, shutoff valve, plumbing materials, venting components, equipment pad, automation controls, or installation labor.

Installation Information

Professional installation by a qualified gas or pool-equipment technician is required.

The installer must verify propane supply capacity, inlet and manifold gas pressure, gas-line sizing, water flow, plumbing configuration, ventilation, combustion-air requirements, equipment clearances, and local code compliance.

This is a propane heater and must not be connected to natural gas unless an approved manufacturer conversion is available and completed by a qualified professional.

Because the heater uses a standing pilot, the pilot consumes a small amount of propane whenever it remains lit.

Warranty Information

The Raypak 009202 is covered by a limited manufacturer warranty subject to Raypak’s current warranty terms, purchase channel, installation type, application, registration, and professional-installation requirements.

Proof of purchase and installation documentation may be required for warranty service.

Warranty coverage does not include damage caused by:

• Improper gas pressure or gas-line sizing
• Incorrect installation or fuel conversion
• Restricted or excessive water flow
• Poor or unbalanced water chemistry
• Scale, corrosion, or erosion
• Freezing
• Improper venting
• Misuse or unauthorized modifications
• Failure to follow manufacturer maintenance requirements

Commercial applications may receive different coverage than qualifying residential installations.
