Product Overview

The Raypak 010745 R408 D-2 Power Vent is a genuine Raypak venting accessory designed for compatible Raypak Digital pool and spa heaters using IID electronic ignition. This power vent assembly helps convert compatible heaters for mechanical draft venting, making it suitable for indoor installations and applications where sidewall or extended venting is required.

The D-2 Power Vent replaces the standard draft hood and provides fan-assisted exhaust for properly venting flue gases from compatible Raypak heater models. It is commonly used with Raypak 336A / 337A and 406A / 407A / R408 heater sizes, depending on the heater configuration and installation requirements.

Ideal For

This power vent kit is ideal for pool professionals, heater installers, builders, and service technicians installing or servicing compatible Raypak Digital pool and spa heaters in indoor or enclosed equipment areas. It is especially useful when the heater installation requires Category III positive-pressure venting, sidewall termination, or reduced horizontal / vertical vent pipe sizing.

Key Features

Genuine Raypak Power Vent Kit

Designed as a factory Raypak venting accessory for compatible Raypak Digital heaters. Using the correct Raypak vent kit helps ensure proper fit, certified venting performance, and compatibility with the heater’s safety controls.

Designed for 120V IID Heater Applications

This model is commonly listed as a 120V IID-only power vent kit. It is intended for compatible Raypak heaters with electronic ignition systems and should be matched to the heater model, voltage, and ignition type before ordering.

Category III Mechanical Draft Venting

The D-2 Power Vent assembly is designed as a Category III mechanical draft venting system. It operates with positive vent static pressure and is designed to help avoid excessive condensate production in the vent when installed according to manufacturer instructions.

4" Exhaust Connection

Raypak D-2 Power Vent models use a 4" exhaust connection for compatible venting installations. Sidewall termination may be possible using approved Category III vent material and the factory-supplied screened elbow when applicable.

Supports Extended Vent Runs

Raypak D-2 Power Vent systems are commonly listed for vent lengths up to 100 equivalent feet when installed properly. Actual vent design must follow the heater manual, D-2 installation instructions, local code, and approved vent material requirements.

Indoor Installation Support

This power vent is commonly used for indoor heater installations where proper flue-gas removal is required. Correct ventilation, combustion air, vent clearances, and installation code compliance are critical.

Benefits

The Raypak 010745 D-2 Power Vent provides a practical solution for installing compatible Raypak heaters in locations where standard draft hood venting is not suitable. It allows the heater to use fan-assisted exhaust venting while supporting safe removal of combustion gases when installed correctly.

This kit can improve installation flexibility for indoor equipment rooms, pool houses, and mechanical spaces that require sidewall or extended venting. Because this is a venting and combustion-safety component, installation should be completed only by a qualified pool heater professional, HVAC technician, or licensed installer familiar with gas-fired pool heater venting requirements.
