Installation Information

Turn off electrical power, shut off the gas supply, close the water valves, and relieve all system pressure before beginning service. Replacing a tube bundle requires substantial heater disassembly and access to the combustion chamber and water connections.

The technician must inspect the headers, bypass assembly, refractory panels, burner tray, seals, gaskets, plumbing, and combustion area while the heater is open. After installation, the system must be pressure-tested and checked for water leaks, gas leaks, proper water flow, correct combustion, and safe exhaust operation.

Poor water chemistry, low flow, excessive flow, incorrect bypass operation, and improper gas pressure must be corrected before returning the heater to service.
