How Owner-Builder Equipment Packages Work

  1. Pick your brand. Choose Pentair, Hayward or Jandy. Each offers the same kinds of equipment, so you can stay with one brand across the whole equipment pad.
  2. Build your pad step by step. Automation and salt, pumps, filter, lights, heater, water features, skimmers, drains, autofill and valves. The builder adds the small parts that are easy to forget, like pump unions, automation cables, light controllers and the autofill anti-siphon.
  3. Add it to your cart or send it to us. Check out right away, or request a quote and our team will review the list against your plans before you buy.

What a Typical Owner-Builder Package Includes

A typical pool and spa we supply runs about 600 sq ft, and its equipment pad usually includes:

  • Automation with a salt chlorine generator and valve actuators
  • One to three variable-speed pumps (filtration, spa jets, water features)
  • A large cartridge filter
  • A gas heater or heat pump
  • LED pool and spa lights with the right cord lengths and a transformer
  • Skimmer, main drains, autofill with a Wilkins anti-siphon, and an air blower for the spa
  • 2-way and 3-way valves, standard and chemical-resistant check valves, and equipment slabs

Add sheer descents, fire bowls, bubblers, in-floor cleaning, IntelliChem monitoring, or UV and AOP sanitizers as your design calls for them.

Manufacturer pricing policies don't let us show prices on major equipment in the builder. Add your package to the cart to see your price on every item. Accessories like valves, drains and slabs show their prices as you build.

Shipping, Freight and Local Pickup

We ship equipment packages nationwide. Heaters, filters and full pads usually ship by freight, so tell us if your address is residential and whether you need a liftgate or a delivery appointment. Local customers can pick up at our Henderson store, 121 Industrial Park Rd, Suite 109, Henderson, NV. Please call or text ahead so your order is ready.

Can I buy equipment if I'm building my own pool?

Yes. Owner-builders and homeowners managing their own subcontractors buy from us every week. Build your package above or send us your equipment schedule.

Who installs the equipment?

Your licensed plumber, electrician or pool installer should install the equipment and confirm final sizing and local code requirements. Jandy equipment requires professional installation to keep its manufacturer warranty.

What if I pick the wrong size?

Use Request a quote at the end of the builder and our team will check your list against your plans before you buy. You can also use our pool calculators for volume, flow rate, filter sizing and heater sizing.

How does warranty work?

Each product carries its own manufacturer warranty, which depends on the purchase channel and installation. Ask us for the terms on any model before you buy. Electronic products fall under our non-returnable electronics policy.
