Product Overview

The Century B668 Pool Pump Motor is a 3/4 HP replacement motor commonly used for Pentair Letro-style booster pump applications. This single-phase motor operates on 115V or 230V power and runs at 3450 RPM for pressure-side pool cleaner booster pump performance.

Built with a stainless steel shaft, ball bearings, automatic overload protection, and a 56CZ frame, the B668 is designed to restore reliable motor performance on compatible cleaner booster pump systems. It is a strong replacement option when the existing motor is noisy, seized, overheated, electrically failed, or no longer driving the booster pump properly.

Customer-Facing Q&A

What is the Century B668 used for?
The Century B668 is a 3/4 HP replacement motor commonly used on Letro-style pressure-side pool cleaner booster pumps.

Is this a complete pump?
No. This is the replacement motor only. It does not include the pump housing, impeller, seal plate, diffuser, shaft seal, plumbing, or cleaner system.

Is this 115V or 230V?
This motor is dual-voltage and can be wired for 115V or 230V. Confirm your existing wiring and voltage before installation.

What frame is this motor?
The B668 is commonly listed as a 56CZ / S56CZ frame motor.

What RPM does this motor run at?
This motor runs at 3450 RPM.

Does this fit Letro booster pumps?
Yes. It is commonly listed as a Letro booster pump replacement motor and is often shown for Letro LA01N pumps manufactured March 1997 to present.

Should I replace the shaft seal when changing the motor?
Yes. A new shaft seal should be installed whenever replacing a pool pump motor. Reusing an old seal can cause leaks and damage the new motor.

Can homeowners install this themselves?
Motor replacement involves electrical wiring, bonding, and pump seal installation. Professional pool equipment or licensed electrical installation is strongly recommended.
