Hayward SwimClear Cartridge Filters & Parts

SwimClear filters and matching cartridges

Which SwimClear size do I need?

More filter area means longer runs between cleanings and better handling of heavy bather loads, trees and dust. The 425 and 525 sq ft models are the most common choices for typical in-ground pools, especially in dusty desert climates like Las Vegas where filters load up fast. When in doubt, choose the larger filter your plumbing and pump can support.

When to clean or replace cartridges

Clean the cartridges when filter pressure rises about 8–10 PSI above your clean starting pressure. If pressure stays high right after a thorough cleaning, or the pleats are torn, flattened or calcified, it is time for a new cartridge set. Replace all cartridges in the filter at the same time so they load evenly.

SwimClear FAQ

Do C3025 cartridges fit a C3030 filter?
Yes. The C3025 and C3030 share the same cartridge set, as do the C4025/C4030 and C5025/C5030 pairs.

Does a SwimClear filter need backwashing?
No. Cartridge filters are cleaned by removing and hosing off the cartridges instead of backwashing.
