Product Overview

The Daldorado DalMAX™ BEAST DALMAX-SG-242421 is a high-capacity commercial main drain sump and grate system designed for swimming pools and aquatic facilities requiring exceptional flow performance and anti-entrapment protection.

The BEAST features a 24" x 24" unblockable grate with a molded high-grade PVC sump and 10-inch side connection. Its certified maximum flow rating reaches 1,734 GPM in floor installations and 1,552 GPM in wall installations, making it ideal for large commercial pools and high-flow circulation systems.

A built-in pressure test plate, molded waterstop, and integrated hydrostatic relief valve fittings help simplify installation while reducing the need for additional field-fabricated components.

Specifications

Installation Information

Installation must follow current Daldorado instructions and all applicable pool construction, plumbing, suction outlet, and safety codes.

The system includes a 10-inch side coupling that can be reduced to 8-inch or 6-inch piping when supported by engineering calculations. Daldorado specifies a minimum straight length greater than 16 inches before reduction.

The grate must be installed using only the approved 316 stainless steel 1/4"-20 x 1.25" machine screws supplied by Daldorado.

Confirm Before Ordering

Confirm required flow rate, plumbing size, installation location, sump depth, pipe schedule, and engineering requirements before ordering.

The 10-inch maximum side port can be reduced to 8 inches or 6 inches when properly engineered. Never exceed the certified maximum flow rating for the installed configuration.

Warranty Information

Daldorado specifies the sump service life as the life of the aquatic facility. Grates and fasteners have a 25-year service life with a 10-year warranty, subject to current manufacturer terms, proper installation, and applicable conditions.
