Benefits

The Pentair 356750Z clear strainer lid helps restore visibility, sealing, and serviceability to compatible EQ-Series pump strainer assemblies. A damaged or cloudy lid can make maintenance harder, while a cracked or warped lid can cause air leaks, priming problems, and reduced pump performance.

Replacing the lid with the correct Pentair OEM part helps maintain proper suction-side sealing and lets pool professionals quickly monitor the basket without shutting down and opening the system unnecessarily.

For commercial pool environments where downtime matters, the clear lid design makes routine inspections easier and supports more efficient equipment maintenance.

Installation Notes

Turn off power to the pump and relieve all system pressure before opening or servicing the strainer assembly. Never remove the lid while the pump is running or while the system is under pressure.

Inspect the lid gasket or O-ring, lock ring, clamp assembly, sealing surface, strainer body, and basket before installing the new lid. If the previous lid was leaking or difficult to seal, replacing the gasket or O-ring at the same time is often recommended.

After installation, confirm that the lid is seated evenly, the sealing surface is clean, and the clamp or lock ring is secured properly. Restart the pump and check for air leaks, water leaks, and proper priming.
