Product Overview

Transform your inground pool with the Hayward Universal ColorLogic 2.0 Multi-Color LED Pool Light. Model LPCUS22150 combines vivid RGBW illumination, broad light distribution, flexible niche compatibility, and convenient automation integration in a full-size underwater fixture.

In standard operating mode, the light provides 10 fixed colors and seven dynamic color-changing shows. When connected to compatible Hayward Omni automation, additional colors and advanced controls such as brightness adjustment, show-speed control, and simplified color selection may become available.

This model operates from a compatible 12–15V AC pool-light transformer, consumes 54 watts, produces approximately 3,000 lumens, and includes a factory-installed 150-foot cord. Its thermoplastic trim provides a clean, corrosion-resistant finish suitable for residential inground pool installations.

Specifications

Hayward identifies LPCUS22150 as an Expert Line pool light with 12–15V operation, a 150-foot cord, thermoplastic trim, and a three-year parts warranty with one-year labor coverage under its published standard specifications.

Control Options

The light can be operated through a standard pool-light switch by cycling power to advance through colors and shows. Multiple Universal ColorLogic lights can be synchronized when connected to the same supported circuit.

For enhanced operation, the light supports Omni Direct mode through compatible Hayward OmniLogic, OmniPL, or OmniHub controls. Omni Direct provides additional fixed colors, brightness control, and adjustable show speeds.

Compatibility and Installation

The Universal ColorLogic 2.0 uses an adjustable mounting flange and lower catch designed to fit most existing residential pool-light niches. Hayward states that its low-voltage Universal ColorLogic fixtures are UL listed for installation in Hayward niches and compatible niches from other manufacturers. Existing niche size, mounting screw position, bonding, conduit condition, and internal dimensions must still be verified before ordering.

A listed pool and spa isolation transformer is required. Longer cord runs may require use of a 14V transformer tap to maintain adequate voltage while the light is operating. Never connect this fixture directly to 120V power.

Installation should be completed by a qualified pool professional or licensed electrician. Do not splice the underwater cord, and verify GFCI protection, grounding, bonding, transformer capacity, junction-box placement, and local electrical-code requirements.
