Product Overview

The Pentair 170035 Bottom Manifold Assembly with Outlet Pipe is a genuine OEM replacement component designed for select Pentair Clean & Clear® Plus cartridge filters. This assembly supports the lower ends of the filter cartridges while directing filtered water through the outlet pipe and back to the pool circulation system.

Manufactured to Pentair's original specifications, the 170035 assembly combines the bottom manifold and outlet pipe into a single replacement unit, restoring proper cartridge alignment, water flow, and filtration performance. It is an ideal replacement when the original manifold becomes cracked, warped, or damaged due to age, freeze conditions, or improper handling during filter maintenance.

The assembly includes the bulkhead fitting (178575) along with the required lower bulkhead O-rings, making installation more convenient and helping ensure a leak-free seal. This part is used on compatible Clean & Clear Plus cartridge filters manufactured after specified production dates.

Benefits

A damaged bottom manifold can cause poor cartridge alignment, reduced filtration efficiency, internal bypass, or difficulty assembling the filter correctly. Replacing the manifold restores the proper support structure for the filter cartridges while maintaining correct water flow through the outlet pipe.

Because this is an original Pentair replacement part, it matches the original dimensions and fitment of the factory-installed assembly, helping maintain maximum filter performance and extending the life of the filtration system.

The included bulkhead and sealing O-rings reduce installation time by eliminating the need to purchase these components separately.

Installation Information

Turn off electrical power to the circulation system and relieve all filter pressure before servicing. Remove the filter lid and cartridges, then inspect the existing bottom manifold for cracks, broken supports, or damaged sealing surfaces.

Install the new manifold assembly with the included bulkhead and O-rings, ensuring the outlet pipe is fully seated and properly aligned before reinstalling the cartridges and top manifold. Lubricate O-rings only with a manufacturer-approved silicone lubricant if required.

Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper sealing and filter performance.
