• Pentair IntelliFlo VF pumps
• Select Pentair IntelliFlo VS pumps
• Pentair WhisperFlo high-performance pumps

Pump compatibility can vary by model number, manufacturing date, horsepower, and wet-end configuration. Verify the original pump model and parts diagram before ordering.

Common Reasons for Replacement

This kit may be needed when the pump has:

• A cracked volute or strainer housing
• Water leaking between the seal plate and volute
• A damaged or warped seal plate
• A leaking shaft seal
• Air entering through the pump housing
• Difficulty priming
• Reduced suction or circulation
• A damaged pump lid or lid sealing surface
• Worn drain plug components
• Freeze damage to the wet end

Electrical or motor-related problems will not normally be corrected by replacing this kit.

Installation Information

Installation requires separating the pump motor and internal components from the existing wet end. The impeller, diffuser, motor, and other reusable parts may need to be transferred to the new assembly.

General installation steps include:

1. Shut off electrical power at the circuit breaker.
2. Close the necessary plumbing valves.
3. Drain all water from the pump.
4. Disconnect the motor assembly from the existing volute.
5. Remove the diffuser and impeller as required.
6. Inspect the impeller, diffuser, and motor shaft for damage.
7. Install the supplied shaft seal without touching the polished sealing surfaces.
8. Transfer the compatible internal components to the new seal plate.
9. Confirm that all O-rings and gaskets are seated correctly.
10. Reassemble the pump and tighten the clamp evenly.
11. Fill the strainer housing with water before restarting.
12. Check the complete assembly for water and air leaks.

Professional installation is recommended. Improper shaft-seal installation can cause immediate leakage or damage to the replacement seal.
