Product Overview

The Pentair 350032Z diffuser is a genuine OEM replacement component that restores factory hydraulic efficiency to select EQ Series commercial pool and spa pumps by precisely directing water flow around the impeller.

Secured behind the impeller within the pump volute, this matte-finish cast component manages water pressure distribution and prevents turbulence inside the wet end. When a diffuser becomes cracked, warped, or mechanically fatigued, circulation volume drops and motor amperage spikes. Installing the 350032Z returns the hydraulic assembly to exact dimensional tolerances, enabling consistent fluid movement and extending overall pump service life.

Specifications

Warranty & Compatibility

Purchase accuracy depends on verifying your specific pump configuration, as Pentair engineers multiple internal wet-end layouts across similar horsepower ratings. This part number is explicitly engineered for select 5 HP models including the EQ500, EQK500, EQKT500, 575V units, and 50 Hz export variants. Certain EQK300 3 HP pumps also require this exact diffuser. Other 5 HP EQ setups may use part number 357273Z instead. Always cross-reference your printed pump model plate and the stamped identifier on your existing component before ordering.

Service protocols require complete electrical isolation and removal of the rear suction housing to access the motor shaft. During reassembly, evaluate the dynamic shaft seal and diffuser O-ring for wear, replacing degraded hardware to prevent immediate post-service leaking. The component weighs 2 pounds, ships in a 9.75 x 9.5 x 8.5 inch carton, bears UPC 788379917678, and carries a standard one-year general warranty from the manufacturer.
