Product Overview

The Pentair A&A QuikSkim Ultra 507310 is a Venturi-powered pool skimmer designed to provide strong surface-debris removal while reducing dependence on traditional pump suction.

Instead of relying entirely on the suction side of the circulation system, QuikSkim Ultra uses existing return-water pressure to create a strong Venturi skimming action. This allows more pump suction to remain available for the main drain, in-floor cleaning system, or other circulation functions.

The 507310 configuration features a gray skimmer body with Protecta Foam and is supplied without the deck ring or lid, making it ideal for new pool construction where the desired ring and lid color will be selected separately. Pentair also equips the QuikSkim Ultra design with a large 9-inch ultra-high debris basket for increased debris capacity.

Specifications

Important Part Number Difference

Pentair's current catalog distinguishes between two nearly identical gray QuikSkim Ultra configurations:

So if the installation requires the factory bonding-lug configuration, use 506510 instead of 507310.

How QuikSkim Ultra Works

QuikSkim Ultra uses water already returning to the pool to generate a Venturi effect inside the skimmer.

The return-water stream creates a low-pressure area that pulls surface water and floating debris toward the skimmer. This means the circulation pump does not have to dedicate as much suction to the skimmer.

Potential benefits include:

• Stronger surface skimming
• More suction available for the main drain
• Better integration with in-floor cleaning systems
• Efficient operation with variable-speed pumps
• Improved collection of leaves and floating debris

9" Ultra-High Debris Basket

The QuikSkim Ultra incorporates a 9-inch ultra-high debris basket, providing greater debris capacity than smaller traditional skimmer baskets.

This can be especially beneficial for pools exposed to:

• Leaves
• Landscaping debris
• Wind-blown material
• Insects
• Surface contaminants

Pentair specifically highlights the 9" basket as a key QuikSkim Ultra feature.

No Ring or Lid Included

The 507310 does not include the deck ring or lid.

This configuration is useful during new construction because the installer can select a separate ring and lid that best matches the finished pool deck.

Pentair offers QuikSkim Ultra configurations with several different ring/lid colors, including:

• White
• Gray
• Tan
• Other application-specific colors depending on configuration

Protecta Foam Included

The 507310 is supplied with Protecta Foam, which helps protect the skimmer during the pool construction and deck-finishing process.

Pentair categorizes this model as:

QuikSkim Ultra with Protecta — Gray Body — No Lid or Ring.

Ideal Applications

The Pentair 507310 is an excellent choice for:

• New pool construction
• Pool remodels
• In-floor cleaning systems
• Variable-speed pump installations
• High-debris environments
• Pools where ring/lid color will be selected separately
• Concrete pools
• Vinyl pools
• Fiberglass pools
