Product Overview

Build or repair a pool safety line with the Pentair Blue & White Oval Float | R181086.

This genuine Pentair pool rope float is designed for use with 3/4-inch safety rope and features a large 5-inch x 9-inch oval body for excellent visibility in swimming pools and other aquatic environments.

Pentair model 590, part number R181086, is constructed from durable polyethylene and is designed to remain buoyant while supporting a pool safety or boundary rope at the water surface. Pentair describes its pool floats as durable and unsinkable, making this float a practical choice for commercial pools, public aquatic facilities, hotels, schools, recreation centers, and residential swimming pools.

The alternating blue and white color design makes the float easy to identify in the water and works well for dividing swimming areas, identifying boundaries, or replacing damaged floats on an existing safety line.

Designed for Pool Safety and Boundary Lines

Pool float lines are commonly used to define specific areas of a swimming pool.

Typical applications include:

• Separating shallow and deep water

• Identifying swimming boundaries

• Creating restricted areas

• Separating recreational swimming areas

• Marking areas around pool features

• Replacing worn or damaged floats on an existing rope

• Commercial pool and aquatic facility safety lines

The R181086 has a center opening sized for compatible 3/4-inch rope, allowing it to slide onto a pool safety line during assembly or repair.

Durable Polyethylene Construction

Pentair manufactures this float from polyethylene, a durable plastic material commonly used for aquatic equipment.

The material is designed to provide:

• Reliable buoyancy

• Resistance to normal pool-water exposure

• Lightweight handling

• Durability in commercial or residential pool environments

• Long-term use as part of a properly maintained safety line

Pentair specifically describes these floats as unsinkable, durable polyethylene floats.

Float Positioning Options

The R181086 can slide freely along a compatible 3/4" rope unless positioning hardware is used.

Pentair offers dedicated float keepers for securing model 590 floats in place.

Compatible Pentair positioning components include:

• R181436 – Model 71 Float Keeper

• R181486 – Model 74 Float Keeper

Pentair identifies both as compatible with the No. 590 float and 3/4-inch rope.

These accessories are sold separately unless specifically included in the product offer.

Commercial Pool Applications

The R181086 is well suited for facilities that regularly maintain or rebuild pool safety lines, including:

• Hotels and resorts

• Municipal swimming pools

• Schools

• Universities

• Recreation centers

• HOA pools

• Apartment and condominium pools

• Swim schools

Its larger 5" x 9" profile offers greater visibility than smaller pool-line floats while remaining compatible with heavy-duty 3/4" rope.
