Product Overview

Connect compatible commercial pool pump plumbing with the Pentair 357212 EQ Series® 6-Inch Flange Kit. This genuine Pentair accessory is designed specifically for EQ Series commercial plastic pumps installed without a strainer pot.

The kit includes a 6-inch flange, gasket, and stainless steel hardware, providing the components needed for the designated flange connection. It is suitable for new installations, equipment replacement, and repairs where the existing flange assembly requires replacement.

Selecting the correct flange is especially important on EQ pumps without a strainer pot. Pentair notes that some standard aftermarket 6-inch flange adapters can interfere with the strainer-pot alignment lip on the pump housing. The 357212 kit is specified for this application, helping installers avoid that fitment issue.

Important Compatibility Notice: “Without strainer pot” describes the pump configuration this kit fits. The kit does not include a pump, strainer pot, or basket. Confirm the pump model and connection requirements before ordering.

Specifications

Compatibility and Selection

The 6-inch designation identifies the nominal connection size. It does not describe the flange’s overall outside diameter. Verify the mating flange, piping arrangement, and pump-side connection before installation.

Installation and Replacement Guidance

Installation should be completed by a qualified commercial pool professional. Before disassembly, shut down the circulation system, isolate the equipment, and relieve system pressure.

Inspect mating surfaces for damage, position the gasket correctly, and align the piping before tightening. Follow Pentair’s installation instructions and applicable flange requirements for hardware placement and tightening.

Piping must be independently supported so its weight and alignment forces are not transferred to the pump housing. Excessive tightening or unsupported piping can damage flange connections.

After installation, check for leaks and verify normal system operation before returning the equipment to service.
