Product Overview

The Pentair MagicStream® Laminar 580001T is an illuminated water-feature system designed to create a smooth, glass-like arc of water from the pool deck or surrounding landscape into a pool, spa, or water feature.

This model features a tan deck lid, integrated 12V LED lighting, and a 100-foot factory cord. The internal laminar design reduces turbulence and air bubbles before the water exits the nozzle, producing a clean, uniform stream rather than a conventional spray.

At night, the integrated LED light engine illuminates the moving water with Pentair color effects and can synchronize with compatible IntelliBrite® 5G lighting and Pentair automation systems.

Specifications

Pentair's current catalog lists 580001T specifically as the tan-lid, 100-foot cord configuration and shows performance data of approximately 6–7.5 GPM at 2.5–3.5 PSI.

Smooth Laminar Water Effect

Unlike a conventional fountain nozzle, MagicStream uses an internal flow-conditioning system designed to remove turbulence and air bubbles before the water exits the nozzle.

The result is a smooth, solid-looking arc of water that maintains its shape through the air rather than breaking apart into droplets.

Integrated Color LED Lighting

The built-in microprocessor-controlled LED system provides:

• 5 fixed colors
• 7 programmed light shows
• Single-color hold
• Automatic color-changing effects
• Synchronization with compatible Pentair color lighting

This allows multiple laminars and pool lights to be coordinated for a unified nighttime lighting display.

Adjustable Water Stream

The MagicStream Laminar can be adjusted after installation to fine-tune the water arc.

Pentair specifies:

• Vertical adjustment from approximately 62° to 75°
• Left/right directional adjustment of approximately 60° total

This allows installers to aim the stream toward the desired landing point in the pool or spa.

Performance

Pentair publishes the following approximate operating data:

Actual arc distance and height will depend on plumbing, flow, pressure, and final nozzle adjustment.

Automation Compatibility

MagicStream Laminars can integrate with compatible Pentair lighting and automation products, including:

• IntelliBrite® 5G
• IntelliBrite Architectural Series
• Color Sync™ Controller
• IntelliCenter®
• EasyTouch®
• IntelliTouch®
• Compatible ScreenLogic® installations

This makes it possible to coordinate water-feature lighting with the rest of the pool's lighting system.

Transformer Requirements

The 580001T does not include the transformer.

Pentair specifies connection to an appropriate 120V-to-12VAC pool-lighting transformer. The LED system itself operates at 12 VAC.

Common Pentair transformer options include:

Transformer sizing should account for the total connected lighting load.
