Product Overview
Replace the upper tank half on a compatible 25-inch Sta-Rite System:3 filter with Pentair part 24851-9001. Pentair lists this kit for the S8M150 and S8M500 modular media filters. It is the upper tank section, allowing you to replace a damaged top without purchasing a complete filter. Pentair’s parts list states that the kit includes decals and labels. pentair.com
A cracked tank or damaged sealing surface needs prompt attention because the filter operates under pressure. Before ordering, confirm the model on your filter label and inspect the lower tank half, cord ring, and clamps so you can identify any other parts that need replacement.

Installation and Fitment
Match your filter’s full model number before purchase. The S7M120 and S7M400 use a different, 21-inch upper tank kit: 24851-9000. Pentair lists the 25-inch lower tank half as 24851-0103S and the 25-inch cord ring as 24850-0009; these are separate parts in its diagram. pentair.com
Turn off the pump and release all filter pressure before opening the tank. Reassemble and inspect the filter according to the Pentair instructions for your model. If the tank or clamp area is damaged, have a qualified pool professional assess the complete assembly before returning it to service.
