Product Overview

Restore dependable heat transfer to a compatible Raypak pool or spa heater with the Raypak 266A/267A Cupro-Nickel Heat Exchanger Tube Bundle Kit | 014931F. This genuine Raypak replacement tube bundle is designed for compatible 266A and 267A polymer-header pool and spa heaters manufactured from approximately July 2013 forward.

Constructed from durable cupro-nickel, the 014931F heat exchanger is engineered to transfer heat from the heater's combustion system into circulating pool or spa water while providing increased resistance to demanding water conditions. Cupro-nickel heat exchangers are commonly selected for applications where additional corrosion resistance is desired.

The heat exchanger is one of the most critical components inside a gas-fired pool heater. If the original tube bundle becomes damaged, develops leaks, or experiences excessive internal corrosion or scaling, replacing the complete tube bundle can restore proper water containment and heat-transfer performance without replacing the entire heater.

Product Specifications

Cupro-Nickel Construction

Cupro-nickel combines copper with nickel to provide strong thermal conductivity while offering enhanced resistance to corrosion compared with traditional copper tube bundles.

This makes cupro-nickel a popular heat exchanger material for installations that may experience more demanding water chemistry, higher usage, or other conditions where additional durability is preferred.

Proper pool-water chemistry must still be maintained. Incorrect pH, excessive sanitizer levels, high flow rates, corrosive water, or improper installation can damage any heat exchanger.

Important Compatibility Notice

The manufacturing date of the heater must be verified before ordering.

The Raypak 014931F is commonly specified for compatible 266A/267A polymer-header heaters manufactured from July 2013 forward.

For applicable 266A/267A heaters manufactured prior to July 2013, Raypak uses a different cupro-nickel tube bundle, commonly identified as 010365F.

Do not order based only on heater BTU rating or cabinet appearance. Check the heater data plate, serial number, manufacturing date, and existing replacement-parts diagram.

Common Reasons for Replacement

A heat exchanger may require replacement if you notice:

• Water leaking inside the heater cabinet
• Visible corrosion on exchanger tubes
• Cracked or damaged tubes
• Persistent heater water leaks
• Severe scale buildup
• Reduced heating performance
• Water entering the combustion area
• Freeze damage
• Chemical damage caused by improper water chemistry

The underlying cause of heat exchanger failure should be identified before installing the replacement.

Professional Installation Recommended

Replacing a heater tube bundle requires substantial disassembly of the heater and involves gas-fired equipment, plumbing, electrical controls, and combustion components.

Installation should be performed by a qualified pool-heater technician or properly licensed professional.

Always shut off gas, electrical power, and pool circulation before beginning service, and follow current Raypak installation and service procedures.

Frequently Asked Questions

What heaters does Raypak 014931F fit?

It is designed for compatible Raypak 266A/267A polymer-header pool and spa heaters, primarily units manufactured from approximately July 2013 forward.

Is this a copper heat exchanger?

No. 014931F is manufactured with cupro-nickel tubing.

Does it work with natural gas heaters?

Yes, it is used on applicable 266A/267A natural-gas heater configurations.

Does it work with propane heaters?

Yes, it is also used on applicable propane configurations.

Will 014931F fit an older 266A heater?

Not necessarily. Applicable 266A/267A heaters manufactured before approximately July 2013 may require 010365F instead.

Is this a genuine Raypak part?

Yes. 014931F is a genuine Raypak OEM replacement tube bundle kit.

Should I replace a leaking heat exchanger myself?

Professional installation is strongly recommended. Pool heaters involve gas, combustion, electrical, and plumbing systems that must be serviced correctly and safely.
