Product Overview

The S.R. Smith poolLUX Plus pLX-PL60 is a 60-watt low-voltage pool lighting control system designed to power and control compatible 12VAC LED pool and spa lights. This system combines a low-voltage transformer with lighting control in one convenient unit, making it a practical choice for new pool lighting installations, light upgrades, and equipment pad replacements.

With a wireless remote, external on/off switch, and one-touch color sync for compatible S.R. Smith LED lights, the poolLUX Plus makes pool lighting easier to operate while helping simplify installation. It is designed for residential pool lighting applications and supports both S.R. Smith LED lights and many other compatible 12VAC power-toggle LED lights.

Ideal For

This lighting control system is ideal for pool builders, remodel professionals, service technicians, and pool owners installing or upgrading low-voltage LED pool lighting. It is especially useful for S.R. Smith LED lighting systems where wireless control, color synchronization, and a combined transformer/control solution are desired.

Key Features

60-Watt Low-Voltage Transformer

Includes a 60W low-voltage transformer for compatible 12VAC pool and spa lighting applications. This provides the necessary power conversion for low-voltage LED lighting systems.

Wireless Remote Control

Includes an extended-range wireless remote with up to 100 feet line-of-sight range. The remote allows convenient lighting control without needing to access the equipment pad.

One-Touch Color Sync

When used with compatible S.R. Smith LED lights, the system provides one-touch color sync. S.R. Smith LED lights commonly feature 6 fixed colors and 2 light shows, allowing users to coordinate pool lighting with a simple remote command.

External On/Off Control Switch

The external on/off switch improves convenience and may help reduce installation complexity. This feature allows easy manual control of connected lighting.

Compatible with 12VAC Power-Toggle LED Lights

Designed for S.R. Smith LED lights and compatible with many other 12VAC power-toggle LED pool lights. Always confirm the connected light wattage and control method before installation.

Terminal Strip Wiring

Convenient terminal strip wiring eliminates the need for wire nuts inside the control housing. This helps create a cleaner installation and provides more organized wiring access.

Oversized Wiring Space

The enclosure provides oversized wiring space for easier installation and service. This is helpful when working with multiple low-voltage light connections or longer equipment pad wiring runs.

12VAC and 13VAC Output Terminals

Accessible 12VAC and 13VAC terminals support standard and extended wiring runs. The 13VAC terminal can help compensate for voltage drop on longer wire runs when used according to manufacturer instructions.

Safety Protection Features

The system includes an internal self-resetting thermal fuse to help protect against overheating and a fast-acting replaceable current fuse for short-circuit protection. These safety features help support reliable operation.

NEMA 3R Corrosion-Resistant Housing

The corrosion-resistant NEMA 3R housing is designed for outdoor pool equipment environments. The sound-dampening housing also helps support quieter operation.

Benefits

The S.R. Smith poolLUX Plus pLX-PL60 helps simplify LED pool lighting control by combining transformer power, switching, and wireless remote operation in one system. It provides convenient control for compatible pool lights while supporting clean wiring, color synchronization, and reliable low-voltage power delivery.

This system is a strong option for customers who want easier pool light operation, synchronized color control, and a professional-grade outdoor lighting transformer. Professional installation is recommended because pool lighting systems involve electrical safety, transformer sizing, bonding, junction box requirements, and local electrical code compliance.
