Benefits

A damaged drain plug or worn O-ring can cause water leaks, air leaks, loss of prime, and reduced pump performance. The Swimables SW-21-131 helps restore a proper seal at the drain port, keeping the pump housing or compatible equipment connection tight and reliable.

Because the O-ring is included, this part helps avoid reusing a flattened, stretched, brittle, or missing seal. It is a low-cost repair item that can prevent unnecessary water loss, messy equipment pads, and avoidable service callbacks.

Installation Notes

Turn off the pool pump or equipment before removing the old drain plug. Relieve pressure from the system and allow water to drain as needed.

Remove the worn plug and old O-ring, then inspect the drain port threads for debris, cracks, or damage. Install the new plug with the included O-ring seated properly. Hand-tighten until snug. Do not overtighten, as excessive force can damage the plug, O-ring, or equipment housing.

After installation, restart the system and check the drain port for leaks.
