Customer-Facing Q&A

What is a street 90 elbow?
A street 90 elbow is a 90-degree fitting with one slip/socket end and one spigot end. The spigot end can glue directly into another PVC fitting.

Is this the same as a regular 90 elbow?
No. A regular 90 elbow usually has two slip/socket ends. A street 90 has one socket end and one spigot end, making it useful for tighter plumbing layouts.

Can this be used for pool plumbing?
Yes. Schedule 40 PVC street elbows are commonly used on pool and spa plumbing systems when installed correctly.

What size pipe does this fit?
This is a 2 inch PVC fitting. The socket end accepts 2 inch PVC pipe, and the spigot end fits into a 2 inch PVC socket fitting.

Does this require glue?
Yes. This is a solvent-weld PVC fitting and should be installed using proper PVC primer and solvent cement.

Can this be used on pressure lines?
Schedule 40 PVC fittings are commonly used on pool pressure plumbing, but pressure rating should be confirmed by the fitting brand and application before installation.
