Product Overview

The Caretaker 1-1/2" Bottom Plate | 1-9-215 is a genuine replacement bottom plate designed for compatible Caretaker 5-Port Water Valve in-floor pool cleaning systems.

This bottom plate forms the lower section of the valve assembly and helps direct pressurized water to the in-floor cleaning zones. It supports the Caretaker valve’s internal pistons and gear train while connecting with the center plate to help maintain proper valve alignment and operation.

This part is commonly replaced when the original bottom plate is cracked, leaking, warped, damaged, or no longer sealing correctly.

Benefits

The Caretaker 1-9-215 Bottom Plate helps restore the foundation of the 5-port valve assembly. When the bottom plate is damaged or worn, the valve may leak, lose pressure, fail to distribute water properly, or prevent pop-up cleaning heads from operating correctly.

Replacing the bottom plate can help restore proper water routing, valve stability, and zone performance. This is an important repair part for maintaining the automatic cleaning action of Caretaker in-floor systems without replacing the entire water valve assembly.

Specifications

Included Components

• 1 × Caretaker 1-1/2" 5-Port Water Valve Bottom Plate

Note: Center plate, top housing, V-clamp, O-rings, piston kit, gear kit, pressure relief valve, unions, and complete valve assembly are sold separately unless otherwise stated.

Installation Notes

Turn off the pool pump and relieve all system pressure before servicing the Caretaker valve. Never open or disassemble a pressurized water valve.

Inspect the center plate, top housing, V-clamp, O-rings, pistons, gear train, and plumbing connections before installing the new bottom plate. Replace worn O-rings or damaged valve components as needed to help prevent leaks after reassembly.

Confirm that the existing system uses the 1-1/2" Caretaker 5-port valve configuration before ordering. Some newer or larger systems may use a 2" bottom plate instead.

Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper sealing, valve alignment, and zone operation.
