Product Overview

The Hayward HLPROUPG OmniPL Retrofit Upgrade Kit is designed to upgrade compatible existing Hayward automation systems to the modern OmniPL® smart control platform. This retrofit kit brings advanced Omni automation features to many older ProLogic®, AquaPlus®, AquaLogic®, and E-Command® controls without replacing the entire automation system.

With app-based control, a relocatable touchscreen display, variable-speed pump control, lighting control, salt system compatibility, and voice assistant support, the HLPROUPG gives pool owners a major automation upgrade while reusing compatible existing equipment. Hayward lists the kit with an external touchscreen display with a 15-foot cord, control for up to 8 Hayward variable-speed pumps without relays, and compatibility with the OmniLogic app.

Benefits

The Hayward HLPROUPG is a strong upgrade option for customers who already have compatible Hayward automation but want the convenience of modern smart pool control. Instead of replacing the full automation system, this retrofit kit helps bring the system into the Omni family with mobile access, improved scheduling, touchscreen operation, and expanded equipment control.

For pool owners with variable-speed pumps, ColorLogic lighting, salt chlorination, or multiple backyard features, the OmniPL platform offers a more flexible and user-friendly way to manage the pool and spa from the equipment pad, inside the home, or on the go.

Important Compatibility Notes

This is an upgrade kit, not a complete standalone automation system.

The HLPROUPG is designed for compatible existing ProLogic®, AquaPlus®, AquaLogic®, and E-Command® controls. Hayward notes that the retrofit kit is not compatible with legacy ProLogic or AquaLogic wireless, wall mount, desktop, or spaside remote controls. Always confirm the existing control model, relay count, accessories, firmware requirements, and system layout before purchasing.
