Product Overview

The Hayward AQL-CHEM4-ACID pH Dispense Acid Feed System is a 120V liquid chemical feed system designed to automatically dispense acid for pH control in compatible pool and spa systems. This system helps maintain more consistent water balance by feeding liquid acid into the circulation system when directed by a compatible controller or automation setup.

Built with a 15-gallon chemical tank, UV-resistant construction, and a durable peristaltic feed pump, the AQL-CHEM4-ACID is designed for reliable residential pool chemical automation. It is commonly used with Hayward AquaRite Pro, ProLogic, OmniLogic, and compatible commercial CAT controllers.

Ideal For

This acid feed system is ideal for pool owners, service professionals, builders, and automation installers who want automated pH control for compatible residential pool systems. It is especially useful for saltwater pools, where pH tends to drift upward and may require regular acid dosing.

Key Features

Automatic Acid Dispensing

Feeds liquid acid into the pool plumbing to help lower and control pH levels. When paired with compatible chemistry sensing or automation equipment, the system can help reduce manual acid dosing and support more consistent water balance.

15-Gallon Chemical Tank

Includes a large-capacity 15-gallon tank for acid storage. The larger tank capacity helps reduce refill frequency and supports longer operation between maintenance visits.

120V Plug-and-Play Design

Designed for 120V operation and commonly listed with a 6-foot power cord. The system can be managed by compatible automation or an on/off controller depending on installation setup.

Durable Peristaltic Pump

Uses a fixed-output peristaltic pump for consistent chemical delivery. This pump style helps move liquid chemical through feed tubing while keeping the chemical contained within the tubing path.

UV-Resistant Plastic Construction

The tank is made from UV-resistant plastic for outdoor pool equipment environments. This helps support durability and long service life on exposed equipment pads.

Built-In Carry Handles

The upright ergonomic tank design includes built-in carry handles for easier handling and refilling. This helps simplify routine chemical maintenance.

Childproof Tank Cap

The tank includes a child-resistant cap to help improve safety around the equipment pad. Chemical storage should still be handled carefully and kept away from children, pets, and unauthorized access.

Automation Compatibility

The liquid feed system is commonly listed for use with Hayward AquaRite Pro, ProLogic, OmniLogic, and Commercial CAT controllers. Always verify controller compatibility before installation.

Benefits

The Hayward AQL-CHEM4-ACID helps simplify pH management by automating acid delivery instead of relying only on manual chemical dosing. More consistent pH control can help improve swimmer comfort, protect pool surfaces, reduce scaling risk, and support better sanitizer performance.

This system is especially helpful for saltwater pools and high-use pools where pH changes more frequently. Professional installation is recommended because this system involves chemical handling, plumbing injection points, electrical power, automation setup, and water chemistry calibration.
