Product Overview

The Hayward Pro-Grid 60 sq. ft. DE Filter W3DE6020 is a high-capacity vertical grid DE filter designed to deliver superior water clarity, efficient flow, and dependable filtration performance for in-ground pools and spas. Using diatomaceous earth filtration, this filter captures fine debris and suspended particles to help produce sparkling clean pool water.

The Pro-Grid series combines durable glass-reinforced co-polymer tank construction with a service-friendly vertical grid design. High-impact grid elements support up-flow filtration and top-down backwashing, while the heavy-duty one-piece flange clamp allows access to internal components without disturbing plumbing connections.

Important: This model does not include a backwash valve. A compatible Hayward multiport or slide valve must be purchased separately.

Key Features

60 sq. ft. DE Filtration Area

The 60 square foot effective filtration area provides excellent dirt-holding capacity and fine-particle filtration for larger in-ground pool and spa systems.

Superior DE Water Clarity

Diatomaceous earth filtration helps capture very fine particles that may pass through standard filtration systems, producing clearer, cleaner pool water.

Durable Glass-Reinforced Co-Polymer Tank

The filter tank is made from durable glass-reinforced co-polymer material designed to handle demanding pool equipment environments and resist corrosion.

High-Impact Vertical Grid Elements

The internal grid elements are designed for up-flow filtration and top-down backwashing, helping maximize efficiency and simplify cleaning.

Rapid-Release Manual Air Relief

A high-capacity manual air relief valve helps release trapped air quickly with a simple quarter-turn lever.

One-Piece Flange Clamp

The heavy-duty, tamper-proof flange clamp securely fastens the tank top and bottom while allowing quick access to internal components for service.

Self-Aligned Tank Design

The tank top and bottom are designed to align easily, making access to the grid elements faster and simpler during maintenance.

2" Full-Flow Internal Plumbing

Full-flow internal piping helps reduce resistance and supports strong, efficient water movement through the filter.

Valve Flexibility

The filter can be paired with compatible Hayward multiport or slide valves depending on the pool system’s plumbing size and installation preference.
