Product Overview

The Hayward Super Pump VS Power End Assembly is a genuine OEM replacement assembly designed for compatible Hayward 1.65 THP variable-speed pool pumps. It provides a convenient repair option when the existing pump housing and strainer assembly remain serviceable but the motor, variable-speed drive, or internal power-end components require replacement.

Rather than replacing the complete pump and existing plumbing, this factory power-end assembly allows the compatible wet-end housing to remain in place while replacing the major motor-side components as a matched assembly.

Ideal For

• Repairing a compatible Hayward Super Pump VS with a failed motor or drive
• Restoring a 1.65 THP Hayward variable-speed pump while retaining the existing pump housing
• Pool professionals performing OEM pump repairs
• Installations where the existing strainer housing and plumbing remain in good condition

Key Features

• Genuine Hayward OEM replacement power-end assembly
• Designed for Hayward’s compatible 1.65 THP variable-speed pump platform
• Includes the variable-speed motor and electronic drive
• Includes major internal wet-end components needed between the motor and existing pump housing
• Factory-matched assembly simplifies major motor-side pump repairs

Benefits

Replacing the complete power end can eliminate the need to source the motor, drive, impeller, diffuser, seals, and mounting components individually.

When the existing pump housing is undamaged and compatible, the assembly may also allow the original plumbing connections and strainer body to remain in service, reducing the scope of the repair.

Using an OEM Hayward assembly maintains the component configuration specified for the compatible pump family.

Compatibility

Hayward identifies this power end within its 1.65 THP variable-speed pump family. Current Hayward documentation includes models such as W3SP2603VSP, SP2670020VSP, and HL2670020VSP in this platform, while earlier Super Pump VS documentation also identifies SP2603VSP applications.

Compatibility should always be verified using the complete model number from the existing pump data label before ordering. Do not select this assembly based only on the appearance of the pump housing.

This is a variable-speed power end and should not be treated as a universal replacement motor for all Hayward Super Pump models.

Installation & Upgrade Context

Installation requires separating the existing power end from the pump housing and reconnecting the replacement assembly to the existing wet end. Because the repair involves line-voltage electrical equipment and a pressurized pool circulation system, Hayward specifies installation and service by a qualified professional.

Electrical supply requirements should be confirmed against the pump and replacement assembly nameplate before installation.
