Product Overview

The Jandy PSB120 Pool and Spa Air Blower delivers powerful airflow for spa jets, bubblers, and compatible pool or spa water features. Its 2 HP motor is designed for applications requiring strong aeration and dependable performance while maintaining a reduced operating noise level for a more comfortable spa experience.

Designed for 120V electrical service, the PSB120 connects to a 2-inch PVC air line and can be installed in standard, long-run, or properly configured below-grade applications. Jandy rates this model for a maximum back pressure of 65 inches of water, but the blower must be properly sized to the plumbing system and required airflow before installation.

Quiet, Powerful Spa Performance

The Jandy pool and spa blower is designed to provide vigorous air movement through spa jets without excessive equipment noise. The powerful 2 HP motor makes the PSB120 suitable for systems with higher airflow or back-pressure requirements when confirmed through proper blower-sizing calculations.

Warranty & Compatibility

Installation Requirements

The blower should be installed by a qualified pool professional and licensed electrician in accordance with applicable electrical, plumbing, and building codes.

For standard installations, the blower should be positioned at least 12 inches above the maximum water level and generally between 5 and 25 feet from the spa wall. A properly rated check valve must be installed between the blower and spa jets to help prevent water from reaching the blower.

For installations located more than 25 feet from the spa or below the water level, an approved Hartford-loop plumbing configuration may be required. Jandy also directs installers to position the blower away from heater exhaust and other sources of contaminated air.

Proper Blower Sizing

Correct blower sizing is critical. The required blower must be selected based on:

• Vertical distance from the spa water surface to the air outlet
• Total length of 2-inch air-line plumbing
• Number of 90-degree and 45-degree elbows
• Number of check valves
• Number and size of air holes or spa jets
• Required airflow in standard cubic feet per minute
• Total system back pressure

Improper sizing or excessive back pressure can damage the blower and may not be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Confirm Before Ordering

Before purchasing, verify:

• Required motor size is 2 HP
• Available electrical service is 120V
• Existing air line uses a compatible 2-inch PVC connection
• Total calculated back pressure does not exceed 65 inches of water
• Required airflow matches the PSB120 performance curve
• Installation location meets water-level and clearance requirements
• A suitable check valve or Hartford loop will be installed
• The connected automation relay or switch is properly rated

Do not select a replacement blower by horsepower alone. The complete plumbing layout and airflow demand must also be considered.

Warranty Information

This product is covered by the applicable Jandy/Fluidra manufacturer warranty when purchased through an authorized dealer and installed according to the manufacturer’s requirements.

Professional installation is required. Damage caused by incorrect voltage, improper blower sizing, excessive back pressure, water intrusion, restricted plumbing, improper wiring, or installation contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions may not be covered.
