Product Overview

The Pentair PSD1.5HPK PowerEnd Kit is a complete bolt-on replacement power end designed to help restore pump performance without replacing the entire pump system. This kit is built around an OEM Pentair 1.5 HP single speed TEFC motor and includes the key pump components needed for a professional power-end replacement.

The included motor operates on 120/240V, 60Hz power and includes a 2-year manufacturer warranty on the motor.

This kit is ideal when the existing pump housing or wet end is still in usable condition, but the motor-side assembly needs to be replaced. It is commonly used for compatible Pentair-style pump repairs where a complete motor, seal plate, diffuser, impeller, shaft seal, and required gaskets are needed together in one convenient package.

Always verify your existing pump model, horsepower, voltage, impeller size, and wet-end compatibility before ordering.

Compatibility Guidance

The PSD1.5HPK PowerEnd Kit is intended for compatible Pentair-style pump repairs where the motor-side assembly can be replaced while reusing the existing pump housing or wet end.

Before ordering, confirm the following:

You need a 1.5 HP replacement PowerEnd kit.
Your existing pump housing is compatible with this bolt-on assembly.
Your existing pump wet end is still in usable condition.
Your system voltage and wiring are compatible with the included 120/240V, 60Hz motor.
Your installer has confirmed the correct impeller size and pump fitment.
The seal plate, diffuser, impeller, and gasket configuration match your pump repair needs.
You do not need a complete new pump.

Do not order this kit by horsepower alone. Pump repair parts must match the pump housing, seal plate, impeller, diffuser, and motor requirements.

Confirm Before Ordering

Before purchasing, please verify:

You need the PSD1.5HPK kit.
Your pump repair requires a 1.5 HP single speed PowerEnd assembly.
Your pump housing is compatible with this kit.
Your voltage requirement matches the included 120/240V, 60Hz motor.
Your existing wet end, plumbing, and pump body are still serviceable.
You understand this is not a complete pump.
Your pool professional has confirmed fitment before installation.

Important: If your current listing or internal notes mention a 1 HP impeller, verify the correct impeller before publishing. For a 1.5 HP PowerEnd kit, the impeller listing should be checked and corrected so the title, included parts, and specifications all match.

Benefits

The Pentair PSD1.5HPK PowerEnd Kit gives pool owners and service professionals a practical way to repair a compatible pump without replacing the full pump assembly. By bundling the motor and key replacement components together, this kit helps reduce part-matching guesswork and makes the repair process more efficient.

The included TEFC motor helps provide added protection compared with open-style motor designs, making it a strong option for pool equipment environments where durability and long-term reliability are important.

For compatible systems, this kit can restore pump operation while preserving the existing pump housing, plumbing connections, and equipment pad layout.

Recommended Use

Use the PSD1.5HPK PowerEnd Kit when the motor-side assembly of a compatible pump needs replacement and the existing pump housing or wet end is still in good condition.

During installation, inspect the pump housing, diffuser area, sealing surfaces, lid, basket, drain plugs, and plumbing connections. Any worn or damaged parts should be replaced before startup to help prevent leaks, poor performance, or damage to the new PowerEnd assembly.

Installation Notes

This kit should be installed by a qualified pool professional or licensed electrician. Pool pump repair may involve electrical wiring, bonding, grounding, pump disassembly, seal installation, impeller installation, gasket placement, alignment, priming, and startup testing.

Professional installation is recommended to ensure:

Correct electrical wiring
Proper bonding and grounding
Correct voltage configuration
Correct seal installation
Proper impeller and diffuser fitment
Correct PowerEnd alignment
Leak-free reassembly
Safe startup and priming
Proper system pressure and flow after installation

Improper installation may cause leaks, electrical hazards, poor pump performance, premature motor failure, or damage to the pump assembly.

Important Fitment Note

This is a PowerEnd kit, not a complete pump.

The pump housing, strainer pot, plumbing connections, and other external pump components are not included. If your pump housing is cracked, warped, leaking, or otherwise damaged, a complete pump replacement may be needed instead of a PowerEnd repair.
