Product Description

Restore a dependable chemical-feed connection with the Pentair 522384 Black Chemical Injection Tubing. This genuine Pentair replacement part provides 20 feet of 1/4-inch black tubing for compatible IntelliChem and IntelliPH chemical-control systems.

The tubing can be cut to the required lengths for connecting a compatible chemical container to the dosing pump and the pump outlet to the injection fitting. Included identification labels help distinguish chemical-feed lines during installation and future equipment service.

This replacement is ideal for tubing that has become cracked, stiff, swollen, discolored, damaged, or prone to leaking. Replacing worn tubing helps support accurate chemical delivery while reducing the risk of leaks around the equipment pad.

This listing includes the 20-foot tubing and identification labels only. Chemical tanks, pumps, injection fittings, check valves, compression fittings, and chemicals are not included.

Product Benefits

Restores the Chemical-Feed Line

Replacing deteriorated tubing helps maintain a secure connection between the chemical container, dosing pump, and injection point.

Flexible 20-Foot Length

The continuous roll can be cut as required for compatible equipment-pad layouts, allowing separate suction and discharge sections to be prepared during installation.

Easier Line Identification

The included labels help technicians identify chemical-feed lines during installation, inspection, and future maintenance.

Genuine Pentair Fit

OEM replacement tubing is designed for use with the connection hardware and chemical-feed components found in compatible Pentair systems.

Cost-Effective Maintenance

Replace the worn tubing without purchasing a complete chemical container, dosing pump, or controller assembly.

Specifications

Compatibility

Designed for compatible chemical-container and dosing-pump applications within the following Pentair product families:

• Pentair IntelliChem chemical-control systems
• Pentair IntelliChem chemical containers with tank-mounted pumps
• Pentair IntelliPH controller systems
• Pentair IntelliPH chemical-container assemblies

Compatibility depends on the system model, chemical-feed configuration, fittings, and tubing size. Confirm that the equipment parts diagram specifies Pentair part number 522384 before ordering.

This tubing should not be selected for an unrelated feeder or chemical pump based only on its outside appearance or approximate diameter.

Package Includes

• One 20-foot length of 1/4-inch black chemical-injection tubing
• Chemical-line identification labels

Not Included

• IntelliChem or IntelliPH controller
• Chemical storage container
• Tank-mounted dosing pump
• Pump tubing or pump-head components
• Injection check valve
• Saddle clamp
• Suction fitting
• Compression nuts or connectors
• Acid, chlorine, or other chemicals
• Personal protective equipment

When to Replace Chemical Tubing

Inspect the chemical-feed tubing regularly and replace it when you notice:

• Cracking or splitting
• Stiffness or brittleness
• Swelling or deformation
• Discoloration or surface deterioration
• Chemical residue around connections
• Dripping or active leaks
• Loose-fitting connections
• Kinks that restrict chemical flow
• Tubing that no longer holds securely in its fittings
• Damage caused by weather, heat, chemicals, or equipment service

Do not continue operating a chemical-feed system with visibly damaged or leaking tubing.

Installation Information

Chemical-feed equipment should be serviced by a trained pool professional familiar with chemical-dosing systems.

Before installation:

1. Turn off the pool circulation system and chemical controller.
2. Disable the chemical-feed pump.
3. Follow the chemical manufacturer’s handling and personal-protective-equipment requirements.
4. Confirm the correct tubing route and chemical application.
5. Remove pressure from the chemical-feed system.
6. Inspect the pump, fittings, check valve, and chemical container for damage.
7. Cut the replacement tubing squarely using a suitable tubing cutter.
8. Keep acid, chlorine, and other chemical-feed lines clearly identified.
9. Secure the tubing according to the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.
10. Test the completed installation carefully for leaks before returning it to normal service.

Pentair’s installation guidance uses a short section of tubing between the chemical container and pump inlet, with the remaining tubing connecting the pump outlet to the injection fitting. Connection nuts should not be overtightened.

Important Chemical Safety Information

Pool chemicals can cause serious injury, property damage, equipment corrosion, or hazardous reactions when handled improperly.

• Wear the protective equipment specified by the chemical manufacturer.
• Work in a well-ventilated area.
• Keep different chemical lines clearly separated and identified.
• Never connect an acid line to a chlorine feed system or a chlorine line to an acid system.
• Do not reuse contaminated tubing for a different chemical.
• Do not operate the system when tubing is leaking.
• Keep tubing away from sharp edges, excessive heat, and moving equipment.
• Follow all Pentair installation instructions and applicable local requirements.
• Store and handle chemicals according to their original labels and safety data sheets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the complete IntelliChem chemical-feed system?

No. This listing includes the replacement tubing and identification labels only. The controller, chemical container, pump, fittings, and injection valve are not included.

How long is the tubing?

The package contains one continuous 20-foot length of tubing.

What size is the tubing?

The tubing is listed as 1/4 inch.

Are identification labels included?

Yes. The tubing is supplied with labels to assist with chemical-line identification.

Does it fit IntelliPH systems?

Yes. Pentair also lists part 522384 among the chemical-container replacement parts for compatible IntelliPH controller systems.

Can the tubing be cut?

Yes. The 20-foot length can be cut according to the compatible system’s installation requirements. Use a suitable tubing cutter to produce clean, square ends.

Are the connection fittings included?

No. Compression fittings, injection valves, saddle clamps, pump fittings, and other connection components are sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise.

Does the tubing include a check valve?

No. The injection check valve is a separate replacement component.

Can the tubing be used for acid or chlorine?

It is intended for compatible Pentair chemical-feed applications. The tubing must be correctly routed, clearly labeled, and used according to the chemical controller, dosing pump, and chemical manufacturer’s instructions.

Can the same tubing be transferred from one chemical to another?

No. Tubing that has been used for one chemical should not be reassigned to an incompatible chemical. Install new tubing and maintain clear line identification.

How often should chemical tubing be replaced?

There is no single replacement interval for every installation. Inspect it regularly and replace it immediately when it shows cracking, stiffness, swelling, deformation, connection damage, or leakage.
