Product Overview

The Pentair A&A QuikWater Leveler 542472 is a complete automatic pool water-level control system designed to maintain the proper water level without the need for manually filling the pool with a garden hose.

Once connected to the pool's water supply, the QuikWater Leveler automatically responds as the water level drops, helping compensate for normal water loss and keeping the pool at the desired operating level. Pentair specifically highlights the system for 24-hour water-level maintenance and for helping protect pool equipment from problems associated with excessively low water levels.

This version features a tan lid and ring and comes configured with Protecta Foam. Pentair lists 542472 as the current Pentair part number corresponding to the former A&A part number 577176.

Specifications

How the QuikWater Leveler Works

Pool water levels constantly change due to evaporation, splash-out and normal pool use. Instead of requiring the homeowner to periodically place a garden hose in the pool, the QuikWater Leveler is connected to a water supply and automatically manages the water level.

When properly installed and adjusted, the system replenishes water as necessary to help maintain the desired operating level.

This is particularly useful in hot and dry climates where evaporation can cause pool water levels to drop quickly.

Why Proper Pool Water Level Matters

Maintaining the correct water level is important for proper circulation and equipment operation.

Water that becomes too low may prevent the skimmer from receiving an adequate supply of water, potentially allowing air into the circulation system. Pentair specifically promotes the QuikWater Leveler as helping prevent expensive pump damage associated with low water levels.

An automatic leveler also reduces the need for:

• Repeated manual filling
• Leaving garden hoses unattended
• Monitoring water levels every day
• Accidental extended filling
• Unsightly hoses running across the pool deck

Tan Finish

The 542472 version features a tan lid and ring, allowing it to blend with many tan, beige, sandstone and earth-tone pool decks.

Pentair also offers QuikWater Leveler configurations in white, light gray and dark gray.

Installation Applications

The QuikWater Leveler is commonly installed during:

• New pool construction
• Pool remodels
• Deck renovations
• Automatic water-fill upgrades
• Replacement of an existing QuikWater Leveler

Because the unit connects to a pressurized water supply and becomes part of the pool-deck plumbing system, professional installation is recommended.
