Customer-Facing Q&A

What does the Pentair 178546Z fit?
The Pentair 178546Z is commonly listed for Pentair Clean & Clear 150 sq. ft. and 200 sq. ft. cartridge filters.

Is this for the Clean & Clear Plus filter?
No. This lid is for select Clean & Clear single-cartridge filters, not Clean & Clear Plus 4-cartridge filters. Confirm your filter model before ordering.

Does this include the complete filter?
No. This is the replacement tank lid only. It does not include the lower tank body, cartridge, clamp assembly, air relief assembly, pressure gauge, or O-ring unless specifically stated by the seller.

When should I replace my filter lid?
Replace the lid if it is cracked, warped, leaking, damaged around the air relief area, or no longer seals properly under pressure.

Can I install this myself?
Filter tanks are pressurized equipment. Installation should only be done after the pump is off, pressure is fully relieved, and the system is safely opened. Professional installation is recommended if you are unsure.

Confirm Before Ordering

Confirm your filter model and square footage before ordering. This lid is commonly used on Pentair Clean & Clear 150 and 200 sq. ft. cartridge filters. It is not for every Clean & Clear, Clean & Clear Plus, Predator, Warrior, or EasyClean model. Always verify the part number from your filter parts diagram or existing lid before purchasing.
