Product Overview

The Pentair IntelliCenter 523969 is a high-capacity pool and spa automation system designed for dual-equipment pool and spa installations. Unlike a PS shared-equipment system, the i10D configuration is designed for applications where the pool and spa operate with separate equipment sets, providing greater flexibility for larger and more advanced installations.

This complete IntelliCenter package combines the Load Center, i10D Personality Kit, IntelliChlor Plus40 Salt Chlorine Generator, integrated salt-system transformer, and High Power Wireless connectivity into one centralized automation system.

The i10D configuration provides expanded relay capacity for controlling multiple pumps, heaters, lights, water features, blowers, and other auxiliary equipment.

Specifications

What Does i10D Mean?

The “D” in i10D stands for Dual Equipment.

This configuration is different from an i10PS shared-equipment system. An i10D is intended for installations where the pool and spa have separate circulation or heating equipment, allowing the automation system to operate each body of water more independently.

This makes the i10D particularly useful for larger custom pools and spas that may have:

• Separate pool and spa filtration pumps
• Separate heaters
• Multiple variable-speed pumps
• Independent pool and spa circulation
• Multiple lighting circuits
• Water features
• Spa blowers
• Booster pumps
• Landscape or equipment-pad auxiliary circuits

i10D vs. i10PS

The most important difference is the equipment configuration. Choose the i10D when the pool and spa operate with separate equipment and the i10PS when the pool and spa share major equipment.

IntelliChlor Plus40 Salt Chlorination

The included IntelliChlor Plus40 Salt Chlorine Generator is designed for pools up to 40,000 gallons.

At 100% output, the Plus40 produces up to approximately 1.40 pounds of chlorine per 24 hours.

The IntelliChlor system converts dissolved salt into chlorine and integrates directly with the IntelliCenter automation platform, allowing pool owners and service professionals to manage automation and chlorine production within the Pentair ecosystem.

Replacement / Updated Part Number

Pentair 523969 replaces legacy IntelliCenter part number 523908.

The newer 523969 bundle incorporates Pentair's updated IntelliChlor Plus40 Salt Chlorine Generator while retaining the i10D dual-equipment IntelliCenter configuration.
